Acoording to this site,  winning out will gives us only a 5% chance to make the playoff.

2 loss P5 teams like Oregon,  Texas, Texas AM, Miss St all have better chances of making the playoff if they win out.   #LifeintheG5.

The unknown is the chaos factor that jolted us to number 2 in 2007....teams ahead of us losing.  Hoping for more of that this year.  Anything can happen!

Still lots to play for.  First undefeated season, top 10 finish,  conf title, NY6 bowl, national spotlight etc...

2007 under the BCS had objectivity from the computer models. College football is now reduced to a single, final ranking by a committee of people representing the blue bloods.

Our projected schedule is ranked 135th in the country according to the Sagarin ranking. G5 will always create issues. Bad scheduling did ourselves no favors, not playing UMass might actually be favorable to us.

5% seems a bit high.

135th? Aren't there only 131 teams at this level?

130 teams in FBS.  Sagarin ranks all 254 teams that play division I ball.  So this means there are a number of FCS teams with stronger schedules than ours.  SDSU is 64th.  Ouch.

GO BULLS!

Houston and UCF are the only games that are in doubt IMO.  It kind of stinks when you think about it.

Consider, I used to show up to games in the Skip Holtz days just to hang out with my friends.  The games were never really in doubt most of the time towards the end.

These days I go to hang out with my friends, the games are not really in doubt now either.  There is something deflating about that.

Yea, probably should have scheduled Wisconsin and Michigan State for this year

Wow, throw in a ranked UCF and Navy and we 'coulda been a contenda'. Still  have to take care of our own business and we never have, ever.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
