How exactly?

By never showing games that we're involved in?  I don't know, just guessing.

They need the conference for tv filler. Don’t think they would turn to a lesser conference to do that.

I agree, I was just trying to guess why he thought they would kill us.

Don't hold your breath. I predict EVERY league will get less money in the next contract than they got in the last one. ESPN humongously overpaid last time around.

An order of magnitude less money all around for college athletics might be a good thing.

Dude, it's hot as **** outside. You may get me to sit in that stadium for a noon game, but good luck with my wife and kid. Just my two cents.

Can't help but wonder what a victory over FSU in 2016 might have done for attendance, at least temporarily. It was a chance to show what we could do against a "real" team. I think the perception from the casual fans here is that we're a second-rate team playing in a second-rate conference. We had a big crowd that day, and had a chance to make a splash, but were run into the ground. Most casual fans aren't going to want to pay the $50 or so to deal with the traffic, heat, etc.. to watch us play Stony Brook, Illinois, Temple, Cincy, Houston, or Tulsa, when they can sit at home in the AC and watch the marquee games for free. Not sure any amount of success will get us decent crowds consistently unless we get a P5 invite. AAC champs probably won't carry much weight with the casual fans in the area...

Agree that game if we had won it would have given us a nice bump in attendance. I blame Woodie and his pathetic defense.

The BE had something to lose that is not the case with the AAC.
