Only gave up 2 hits! What a huge game and great performance by Pete! That was a huge performance. Peter has been on another level the past two weeks after his father's passing. It's unreal! Needed that victory to salvage the series. Was getting afraid the whole schedule shift accompanied with traveling the furthest for a road game this season was going to doom this to a sweep. UConn has some stellar pitching that's for **** sure. Next up a trip to Jacksonville on Tuesday and then Orlando Thursday-Saturday. Turn around and play the Conference Championship in Clearwater on the following Tuesday or Wednesday. A lot of games bunched together. Let's go Bulls! Need to close out 4-0 to have even the remotest shot at a regional Hopefully Jacksonville will sweep South Carolina Upstate this weekend, to give us just a teensy boost in SOS

At this point tiebreakers with UCF don't matter as one of the teams will leave next weekend with two wins. Need to win two of three in Orlando next week and hope Houston loses at least one. Should be a pretty excited end to the season! Edited May 14, 2017 by Ionbull

Should be a pretty excited end to the season! Yep my math was off earlier...we just need to win the the UCF series and hope for a Houston loss. Might not happen as they play Cincinnati, but at least we give ourselves a shot if we win the UCF series. If not it doesn't matter. Either way we should still be good to make the tourney, we just won't be hosting.

The first two games of that series were so close, too. Don't feel right about this one, but I don't think how they played at UConn is how this team inherently is. That was a pretty whacky situation to play three games in 24 hours. It's hard to see a situation where both teams are out of regionals at this point; their tickets should be firmly punched so it's all about the regular season title at this point. Should be a pretty excited end to the season! Am I wrong in thinking that UConn is just as much in play as Houston pertaining to us? We only win 2 and UConn sweeps ECU, they're above us in the standings ....
