Great Pickup again. Looks like Coach Gregory prefer his PGs be more towards the physical type then then the smaller shifty type. Stephan Jiggets will handle the lead this coming season and give way to LaQuincy Rideau the season after next. We are out scholarships...at least for right now.

This new coaching staff has done a tremendous job! It's nice to see players who actually want to come to USF instead of wanting to leave.

Just amazed at how connected Coach Gregory is to have all these kids that want to come play for him in what was a  dumpster fire.

I think the staff is primarily responsible for that part of the process at this point. CBG is the one closing but the assistants are primarily the ones knowing where to bird dog. I think that CBG was out of the recruiting part for his year at MSU.

Well then kudos to Gregory for hiring the men who he knew were connected to the recruiting world. :)

From JK today:

Tracking the Bulls men's basketball roster these days can fluster the keenest of minds, not to mention the simple ones such as ours.

Hence the reason we've assembled an updated one here. By our count, USF has reached its 13-player scholarship limit for the 2017-18 season. But bear in mind, some of the players on our roster -- whose arrivals have been widely reported -- haven't been confirmed by the school.

We put an asterisk beside the names of those newcomers whose arrivals have been confirmed. Those who must sit out a season are listed in bold.

Unofficial USF 2017-18 Men's Basketball Roster

(scholarship players only)

G Payton Banks, Gr-Transfer (Penn State)
G/F Justin Brown, Fr.*
SG David Collins, Fr.*
F Tulio Da Silva, R-So.
G Troy Holston Jr., R-Jr.
PG Stephan Jiggetts, Gr-Transfer (Fairleigh Dickinson)
G TJ Lang, Jr. (Auburn transfer)*
F Isaiah Manderson, Sr.
C Malik Martin, R-Jr.
PG Laquincy Rideau, Jr. (Gardner-Webb transfer)*
G Terrence Samuel, Gr-Transfer (Penn State)
C Nikola Scekic, Jr. (New Mexico/Hutchinson CC)*
F Alexis Yetna, Fr.*

We are still waiting for USF confirmation on the three graduate transfers (highlighted in red).

Everyone else is confirmed and signed though which is great. The Grad Transfers probably needed to graduate, get confirmation of completing their degree, get accepted into their new program at USF and then the transfer will be complete. I'm less concerned about them having a change of heart.

Edit: *Terrance Samuel should be in red as opposed to Rideau. He has been confirmed and sits one to play two.

That is hard to read.  How's this?

2017-2018 eligible and signed:

G/F Justin Brown, Fr.
SG David Collins, Fr.
F Tulio Da Silva, R-So.
G Troy Holston Jr., R-Jr.
F Isaiah Manderson, Sr.
C Malik Martin, R-Jr.
C Nikola Scekic, Jr. (New Mexico/Hutchinson CC)
F Alexis Yetna, Fr.

2017-2018 eligible but not signed:

G Payton Banks, Gr-Transfer (Penn State)
PG Stephan Jiggetts, Gr-Transfer (Fairleigh Dickinson)
PG Laquincy Rideau, Jr. (Gardner-Webb transfer)*

2017-2018 signed but have to sit a year:

G TJ Lang, Jr. (Auburn transfer)*
PG Laquincy Rideau, Jr. (Gardner-Webb transfer)*

If everything goes as planned, we will lose the three grad transfers and Manderson after next season.  Giving us four scholarships for incoming freshmen.

FIFY, but yeah that's a ton clearer. CBG has really impressed me, he clearly has done this rebuilding thing before. Hopefully the NCAA doesn't find anything from the investigation and the staff can get a full year in recruiting. It's super early and these guys haven't played with each other but I'm legit excited about Men's BB again. Obviously this year is a wash and could go a number of different ways, but since most of last year's roster is gone, and a whole slough of new guys are in; literally anything is possible.
