Possibly having a better chance at one game vs. 6 games and the headache of juggling our young, recently injured, pitching staff is no-brainer.

Also Kingston wanted 3-0 for the weekend series vs Iowa.  At least thats what I took away from his comments after the third game.  Lets say we start McClanahan vs FSU.  Its not automatic that we win that game.  Still 50/50.  Its still a guy thats on a pitch count in his first college start, so at the most we get 4 or 5 innings out of him...and thats if things go well.  Things don't go well and its a bigger issue for the rest of the season (mentally).  I actually think its a good move by CMK this early in the season.  We need to rack up as many wins as we can with this squad.  I had a somewhat famous post years ago where I criticized a Coaches decision on a similar situation and it got back to the Athletics Office/Baseball Office.  I had no idea they even see these types of things.  Lets just say I can laugh about it now, but for a while it was a bit uncomfortable.  Thought I should share that as it kind of reminds me of it.  

Anyway, Go Bulls, Beat those Noles!

I doesn't look like he's saying that at all. It looks like he's saying it's a dumb move and only gives us a slightly better chance to win a single game at the expense of many games and, possibly, the season.

If I've learned anything from watching Bulls baseball over the years it is nothing is automatic, no matter what team we play.
