Good win for the Bulls.  Great job by the pitchers.  Starter went 5 strong, and the relievers pitched 4 scoreless innings.  Now on to Tallahassee on Tuesday.

Pretty sure I heard Jim Louk say Valdes would be the starter.  He's had the rockiest road thus far....

Yep, Valdez is the midweek starter.  Hopefully we get 5 good innings from him.

After reading TDS, not very hopeful of our chances against FSU. Is coach basically throwing in the towel on this game, I wonder?

 

The Bulls (2-1) travel to Tallahassee to take on #5 Florida State on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. RHP Ryan Valdes will get the call for USF after a shaky relief appearance on Saturday.

“I think he’ll learn from [yesterday giving up two home runs],” Kingston said. “His stuff was good, but he was up in the zone a little bit and I think he learned yesterday that he better get the ball down. Hopefully he’ll be sharper on Tuesday.”

Because if he were trying to win, he would have said it. Coaches have to announce their intentions prior to the game.

Valdes is the midweek starter.  Not throwing in the towel, but his turn to pitch.  FSU will be a test no matter who is on the mound.  I have a feeling we'll see 4 or 5 pitchers in this game.
