I guess taking three different schools to the NCAA tournament must have been blind luck since clearly you think he can't coach. I wasn't a huge CSH fan especially towards the end (oh and that "watching the paint dry" excuse for an offense) but don't ignore the facts. he didn't get fired from Arkansas and USF because he won too much... his conference record at Arkansas was 31-49 (.388) and his conference record at USF was 37-89 (.294)...that's why he was fired from both schools.

He races to find a substitute for freshman guard Tiasia McMillan. McMillan wasn't executing plays to Nohra's liking, and as she ran off the court, she was getting an earful. "I ripped into her," Nohra said. "It was unacceptable what she was doing." ... He took over a young program. Really young. There are six freshmen, and five are starters. There are two sophomores, a seventh-grader and an eighth-grader ... So far, that hasn't mattered. Carrollwood Day was 16-2 entering Friday's game against Berkeley Prep ... Nohra, who has been an engineering professor at USF for 30 years I had 2 classes with Nohra. He will not hold back, intense personality and a sense of humor. One of the most memorable and also difficult professors I had. Edited January 15, 2017 by Gismo

That's your opinion. He sucked after 7 years. I wasn't calling for his head at the time, but just looking back his last two seasons were insanely bad. COA was clearly a poor choice after the Massiello debacle, and I certainly appreciate his runs, but he had plenty of time to build, and it wasn't anywhere near being a good program. no one is asking for great. We're just asking for better than 6-26 in conference during years 6 and 7.

The next two years should probably have been better but there were some extenuating circumstances as to why they weren't. Unless you're a program with an extremely high bar, you give the coach of your best season at least 3 years to see if he can get to that point again, especially when he did it with **** for facilities and had just gotten some nice tools. He had a good nucleus of players coming back, just not a lot of experience, and we see now that a lot of those players turned out pretty well. 10 hours ago, Joe said: COA was clearly a poor choice after the Massiello debacle, and I certainly appreciate his runs, but he had plenty of time to build, and it wasn't anywhere near being a good program. no one is asking for great. Unless you're under the laughable impression that USF is a place where you reload, it was going to take time rebuild again... which he had started with classes he only had one/two year's with. Not saying he had a lifetime contract but you give a coach who PROVED he could do it here more than 2 years.

You say that like it's impressive. Going 6-30 in conference play back-to-back seasons is PLENTY of reason to fire a coach. Plus Harlan wasn't thinking that Antigua would be the replacement (his third choice) and that it would end up so much worse. USF also needs to be patient with some of these guys as it's not a destination spot for men's basketball.
