USF is better for having him here.

We all agree, but no one is claiming we're not, right?

Overall, a good post, but several won't agree he deserves to vacate a 5 year contract.  But that's the nature of the business.  Requires little commitment to the employer.

Well, doesn't every coach? With that perspective, who'd want to come coach at USF?  Nobody?  Maybe high school or NAIA coach?

Somebody without an offer to coach at one of the schools with a better chance ..... Sees this as a stepping stone opportunity.

Thinking about it today and analyzing the Taggart regime...

I'm not completely sold that Taggart isn't more than just a really good recruiter and/or lucky to have had Mack, Flowers, and Adams. Arguably the best offensive players in USF history all in one team.

His first two years were a disaster and his offensive scheme was terrible. McNeese State is something no Bulls fan should ever forget.

Still, hell of a recruiter.

Good luck CWT!

Blazing post

Right, someone we shouldn't want.  Got it.

This thread is awesome.  Tags was not Harlan's guy, so in some ways it was a continuation of the previous regime.  And has been stated, from many angles irregardless of this seasons wins he under performed as a coach.  Last year's bowl comes to mind.  I think we end up better off in the long run.

We need the guiding hand of Dungy.

That's not the first african-american hand to emerge from the clouds...

Brad,

Two or three years from now if you ever look back at your posts on this subject since he interviewed for the Oregon job you may see how much you sound like a whiny little down trodden two year old.

Our coach got bought from us. That is actually a good thing. The only better outcome is if we somehow find our Bowden and even he got fired. I never want to fire another coach again. If they are good enough and want to stay forever, great. If they are good enough and they double their salary somewhere else, great we will make another great hire.

I won't be looking back.  I will be looking forward to the string of great hires you predict.

Yep that was first sign USF made  horrible mistake.

Ugh, watching that game in-person was like getting nut checked and watching a slow motion train wreck at the same time.
