I appreciate the effort that you put into this, but you need to tweak your rankings. Mainly because the way you set up the schedule is not going to be correct. I see a 0% chance that we play UCF before we play UConn and ECU. Harlan and UCF AD have put a major emphasis on making this War on I4 game a Thanksgiving weekend tradition. Other conference games obviously will be need to be adjust once the AAC announces the schedules later on.

It is foolish to believe USF goes undefeated until we make some serious changes on the defense.

With that schedule, and our offense, it's not that far fetched ...

Sure, i'll buy it. But i'm not sure changing DC is going to improve the defense. That defense will improve by pure experience, it will be better next year and stout by the time we are breaking in a new QB. Only thing that will stop that is if the DC carousal goes round and round.

Couple points:

UCF will most likely be Thanksgiving weekend (for the foreseeable future).

I'm predicting the Houston game is a Thursday night ESPN game....:icon_drink:

If USF wins the next two games and both Flowers and Mack return, then we will most likely be ranked in both polls starting out next season.

We get our four toughest games at home.

I definitely BULLieve that USF is in its best possible position to run the table, but upsets do happen.

USF just needs to play one game at a time and not look past anyone.

It will be interesting to see what the Vegas line is on USF going undefeated.

We'd have to blow everyone out and get a lot of help.

There is no better schedule for us to be undefeated. Temple, Tulane and Houston could spoil it, though Houston may be rudderless and under a new coach.

However it is a WMU type schedule and would not get us ranked in the top 10.

Certainly not oursude the realm of possibility...that being said

The history of this message board leaves no middle ground for many. The majority sets their sights on an undefeated season, and immediately starts crying when we lose one.

i mean we're not even through 2016, we could still win the AAC why do this **** now?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
