The program has no money. He will get some U left overs, and be gone before his contract is up.

Job 1 for him is to get his children's  tutor wired in the help those young men write their term papers.

would anybody here be interested in Davis?

Honestly with the money situation in college football being what it is, BD likely wouldn't stay here any longer than he would stay at FIU. Our best option would be another young coach trying to make a name for himself.

Honestly, if CWT were to leave after next season, considering the season goes as expected, I think we would be able to pull someone in better than Butch at this point in his career.

Um good question. My short answer is no. It's no because he hasn't coach since nc. They fired him and that's not saying much. I think my grandma  Bessie could of coached those Miami teams and prevailed.

Larry Coker would tell me differently.

Not for Miami, team fell off after his 1st year. Fans ran him out  of town.

Really now?

Here's his per season record at Miami

2001-12-0 (Big East) W-Fiesta Bowl

2002- 12-1 (Big East) L-Fiesta Bowl

2003-11-2 (Big East) W-Orange Bowl

2004 9-3 (ACC) W-Peach Bowl

2005- 9-3  (ACC) L-Peach Bowl

2006- 7-6  (ACC) W-MPC Computers

Miami Fans like to have a lot of revisionist history about the Coker Tenure.  The FACTS are that Miami has struggled to be relevant since they entered into the ACC.  People seem to forget how beneficial it was being the Big East for them.

Each of those teams regressed from the previous season. There is a reason he could not get a  decent head coaching job after leaving UM.

No coach has even come close to bettering his record since then.  Miami fans seem to think the days of "The U" are going to come back but due to the evolution of recruiting, scouting, and playing in a much more competitive conference they never will.  Miami fans have a very unrealistic view of their program and situation which is why they ran Coker out....

Butch turns 65 this week.  There's only so much tread left on those tires.

This.  This will be Butch's last rodeo.
