Nah, I don't think it's a similar situation at all.  I think it's closer to the Schnellenberger at FAU comparison someone already made.  I think Tubs was hired at Cincy, not only to have a proven coach take over the reins, but I think Tubs was probably told Cincy would be the next program to get called up to the P5, and he probably sold his Auburn experience saying he would take them there.  I have no evidence of this, it's 100% my speculation.  

I think Davis is at FIU because he knows and likes the area, and it's basically his way to ride off into the sunset while making a little more money to retire on.
