I heard Alaskan Airlines might be putting a direct flight to San Francisco...very nice area, that would be a cool road trip.

Just take CalTrains. The drive from SF to SJ can be brutal. Traffic on 101 is awe inspiringly slow at times and even when it's good it is crappy. SFO has a shuttle to the Millbrae station from there it's easy to get down to SJ

Hoping we are ranked in the preseason after a strong season and Bowl Victory!

Unless the tickets are that much cheaper flying into San Francisco, San Jose is the best option. There are plenty of cool places to visit in the area. Big Sur, Santa Cruz, the missions, and more. The drive down Pacific 1 from San Francisco to Santa is awesome.

PCH is worth the drive, but if you have a fear of heights, drive the coast road from south to north, not north to south. That way you have the mountains on your right, and the ocean's a whole lane away instead of right there. If possible, I will never drive it again north to south. VERY scary.

If anybody wants to fly into LA, take the train to Ventura, and ride up the coast road from here, let me know.

So this game is now the weekend before Labor Day? Is this week 0? This is strange and interesting. Is the new thing going to be Labor Day major OOC games and starting some games a week earlier ?

I totally get this is good for the team, but there is a huge downside for me as a fan.

The original date was a Friday night game. I was planning on seeing either Stanford or Cal at home on Saturday. By moving up, I lose the second game.

For those wondering, with both the old and new dates, the Giants are out of town but the A's are in town.

I love that white knuckle ride. Maintain your speed and try to keep 3 of the 4 tires on the road and you'll be fine

Then you should try the Lake Hughes Road northbound out of Castaic someday. I went south and was still scared to death at 5 mph in some places with a 45 mph limit. I don't know how you thrill junkies do it.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
