As the offense continues to roll and we continuously put up the big  numbers, we now need a signature win to take the program to the next level and really get on the map nationally.

The thing that propelled us to a certain degree of national prominence 10 years ago were the wins at Louisville then of course WVU.

We have reached the point now that its not just about rolling up numbers or even just about wins. To get to the next level we need a big one.

I am starting to believe the people who say FSU will be our biggest game ever.

FSU being the biggest this year, or in the history of the program? Notre Dame...Auburn...it's hard to say given that these are upsets over powerful programs. And if USF loses to FSU, as expected, it's just another Saturday. If not, it could be the 'signature win' of the season.

FSU after week one was #3, tomorrow we find out if they hold or move up. I don't think they will lose heading into week 4, and we should be picking up steam as well. The FSU game this year will be a very important game and a win would propel us nationally quite significantly.

We need to be focused on Syracuse. We lose that game and this doesn't matter.

The team needs to be focused on Syracuse, we are men (women?) on a forum, we can do whatever we want.

FSU has a huge game next week against a very very good Louisville team.  They could easily lose next week.  Hoping they don't, because Bama also has a very difficult game against Ole Miss next week ( a team thats beat them the last 2 years).  There's a slim chance FSU could be #1 when they visit if things fall right.

There's a chance we could be 2-1 when they arrive...:FIREdevil:

There's a chance BOTH teams could be 2-1.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."
