The thing that propelled us to a certain degree of national prominence 10 years ago were the wins at Louisville then of course WVU. We have reached the point now that its not just about rolling up numbers or even just about wins. To get to the next level we need a big one. I am starting to believe the people who say FSU will be our biggest game ever.

Notre Dame...Auburn...it's hard to say given that these are upsets over powerful programs. And if USF loses to FSU, as expected, it's just another Saturday. If not, it could be the 'signature win' of the season. So we would be 2-0, 3-0, 4-0 but the margin of victory was always much smaller. We were a defensive team and our offense was always pedestrian at best. So even when we had a solid record we would be discounted in press and polls. At least that is how it always seemed to me. The signature wins were important because we could point to them as evidence that we were better that our margin of victories suggested. I do hope we get that win you are talking about but the eye popping scores certainly help with the next level you are talking about. I am hoping the margin of victories and the points we are putting up are an actual indication that we are a team to be reckoned with. Are we all smoke an mirrors? My answer is, probably not. We spread the ball around so much and are so balanced between the pass and run that it is hard to identify what facet of our team or player you need to take away in our to beat us. Last night we did not have Mack and they put a spy on Flowers - did you notice? It made no difference.

I don't think they will lose heading into week 4, and we should be picking up steam as well. The FSU game this year will be a very important game and a win would propel us nationally quite significantly.

They could easily lose next week. Hoping they don't, because Bama also has a very difficult game against Ole Miss next week ( a team thats beat them the last 2 years). There's a slim chance FSU could be #1 when they visit if things fall right.
