Speaking of big time, smazza, there is absolutely no excuse for you not to be at the USF women's game on saturday (and probably Monday too). I realize USF doesn't get out to LA very often, so please show up for all of us who can't spend on $1000 plane tickets.

Steve has met me in LA previously to watch USF play in post season games (we watched USF play UCLA in softball in 2005). It would be nice to see him years later pull up in his Ferrari with his USF plates on it.

I know a lot of people only know Steve through the message board, but the guy is a winner in life and will go out of his way to help you if you ever want sound advice (similar to Brad on here) - kinda sucks that not everyone can see it - but he's been great to me and a couple of my friends when we've requested his advice. On a different note, he did pretty well raising his son as well. Presently, his son is a first year student at Georgetown Law after crushing it at Berkeley. As much as I want my daughter to go to USF (the wife thinks differently), if she ended up at Berkeley and then Georgetown, I would definitely be a proud father. FWIW, she would probably be the only conservative at Berkeley - maybe she can convert some liberals while there.

Agreed! Smazza is a good USF alum and we are happy to have him. Thanks for the kind words.

Mr. Mazza offered to buy me and my family breakfast in Santa Ana when we were on a west coast vacation. Unfortunately I didn't have the transportation or booster seat to get myself down there from Anaheim. Steve is a solid dude.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
