I know Woodie is in place now. But I would be curious if CWT would be interested in Randy Shannon as DC.  Good recruiter and coordinator.

Shannon will NEVER come here.  He has a longstanding grudge against USF for killing his head coaching career at Miami.

When the offense was clicking we won.  I don't remember the defense winning any games for us.  We could not stop the run at navy or Florida state.  Western Kentucky carved us up like a turkey.  Maryland was a disaster.  Woodie is a great recruiter and loyal, let's see what he can do.  We should have our best group of players next year so if he can coach up the players and make adjustments at half time and teach them to tackle we should be ok.

Pretty much this

Wish him the best. I like this thread because people who said that he wasn't the reason for the change and weren't calling for him to be our head coach have a place to congregate.

If someone is not 110% committed to the organization, then better to have them not part of the program ASAP.  He was definitely looking to part ways with USF for some reason.  It sounds like he approached Indiana.  So I say F##%$K him. Indiana sucks and always will.

I can see the HC thing totally being the case... but I think Allen was out the door the day he arrived.  Now we know he really wanted to be closer to Indiana... to each his own.  At least Taggart got the defense he wanted installed and we're moving in the right direction.  I was surprised, the recruit reaction has been pretty positive.  I think we'll be fine though.  I mean he was a LB coach two years ago... just like coach Woodie was last season.

he probably thought like  most of us that cwt would be fired and allen would be made head coach

i think i said this within days of of allen's hiriing

i am not surprised he left
