The hate is strong with some of you. You act as if he inherited a championship caliber team or much of a team at all... You can thank him for what he's done so far with the potential for a 9 win season and all. And a great way to thank a under paid coach is to pay him. I man UCif paid an unproven coach who will fail next year  as much.

The hate is strong? Really? Guy has done a decent job but that's it. I do agree he deserves a raise but we shouldn't be kneeling at his feet or anything. Still got body slammed by an awful Maryland team and blew leads in both the Memphis and Navy games. If he goes off next year like he should with the talent this team has then that will be a different story.

You're getting off the topic of this thread. Its not about what hes making, its about his body of work. A thread about praising the guy? For what? An 8-4 season and not making the conference title game in a weak division? I appreciate us being better this year but we shouldn't be throwing any kind of parade for that or anything.

 

the guy took a program that was an absolute dumpster fire at 3-9 and little to no talent and went 8-4 with a very young team that returns quite a bit of talent next year. it's call rebuilding.

so I guess not going undefeated is your standard?you mention 3 of our 4 losses. BTW who recruited all that talent that we now have? and did it as a 3-9 program that just got demoted to a lesser conference.

he inherited a dumpster fire that went 3-9 (our worst record ever up to that point) and turned it into a young team with loads coming back next year that could have 9 wins(our most ever) in his 3rd year.

 

unbelievable that people don't see that as success. from our worst year ever to one of our best ever. obviously people who get paid to notice surely do or USC would not have offered him an interview.

So what, we're rebuilt now cause we won 8 games in one year in a weak division? He did his job and that's what hes paid for. We didn't win anything or even play in a title game. Til he does, there are no need for threads like this IMO.
