Who would we play?  I see a projection that says ND vs. FSU.  Playing either of those would be sweet as hell.

I have a pretty hard time thinking we beat Houston in the AAC championship game tbh. Ive said all along, Houston is a top 10 team with Greg Ward at QB. BUT! if we do win, then I don't think its a sure thing we get by Western Kentucky. Not saying we don't, but 2 losses looks a lot better than 4. And sure we play in the AAC, but saying a Maryland loss is a bad loss is an understatement guys.

I spent a pretty long time pouring over the stats for teams still eligible for this spot and after several hours, I have to agree with this. It surprises me that I've come to that conclusion but the only other true contender looks to be 10-2 WKU and I don't think they pass the committees eye test nor do they have any wins over ranked teams; the wins they do have also fail to impress merely because of the way their conference played this year. It just needed to be a banner year for that conference for this to play out for WKU and it wasn't. The committee has already said that if none of the eligible conference champions are ranked that they'll go over an additional process to choose the bid, which is super secret committee language for, 'we'll look at the names of all the teams, their records, and choose who we think has the most likely chance of winning their game so the media doesn't yell at us at the end of the season.' The AAC champion in Temple, USF or Houston is most likely going to be that team.

Craziness.

Florida will likely (hopefully) be 10-3 by then.  Would also like to play Miami in a bowl.  They are famous for wetting the bed in bowls recently.

I can't I can't believe this is even possible given the start to the season...

going to our first major bowl would be awesome. I'd def try to make it out to the game.
