Will the Tampa Bay area support USF again? Is it the conference?

We have to realize that when you don't have West Virginia, Syracuse, Pitt, and other brand names coming to town, attendance will be low.Yes, winning helps, but we will not fill Rayjay simply by winning, even if we go undefeated. Look at Temple games, Memphis games, Cincy, Houston, often empty or half full stadiums. UCF seemed to have good numbers during the last few years, but even with their good seasons, thay rarely sold out.It is much more about who you play than how you play. It just needs time. A lot of people checked out at 1-3. After a good season, an uptick is likely next year. If we're ranked, the crowd will be bigger because of the buzz generated. Beat FSU here next year and the sky's the limit.

Yes, wins will improve attendance, but only so far.

It will go up significantly next year. fsu will sell out and we'll average 35-40k the rest of the year if we continue to play like this. The average Joe fan has not come back yet. If casual fan can't "do" the game, then to heck with them. Don't need them. A program like Usf will have to depend on continued success to bring out alumni who will suddenly remember that, "Hey... I went to Usf... the football team is doing really well now.. I'll think I'll go the games now that I can brag about them at work."
