Read the articles. And every single other team gets that announced attendance reported in the paper. Yet, the TBT insists on reporting the actual turnstile numbers as opposed to the common practice of only reporting the announced attendance. Our attendance is bad. But there's no reason to make it look worse than other programs, comparatively speaking, by using a different set of criteria than every other program. Because the school no longer requests those figures, it won’t be subject to future open records requests.“We still can ask for the numbers when needed but we no longer keep the reports on hand since we don’t use them to determine attendance,” Peevy responded via email. “We still use Ticketmaster scans but no longer keep the reports on file.”The Herald-Leader’s report from the first six games showed a gap between announced and scanned attendance that ranged from 10,806 (Western Kentucky game) to 26,017 (Vanderbilt). There are no NCAA or Southeastern Conference standards for how attendance is counted or reported. It is left up to each institution to determine its own numbers.Read more here: http://www.kentucky.com/2012/11/26/2421776/kentucky-actual-attendance-numbers.html#storylink=cpy

One reason most others schools' actual isn't reported is that it isn't made available. I understand most other schools actual attendance isn't made available. So why do an apples to oranges comparison and report USF's actual attendance, when no one else does. Why not do an apples to apples comparison (announced vs. announced). However they also get the announced attendance number that every single other program in the country uses. But, yet choose to use the actual attendance in their reports. Game story should use USF's announced attendance number. If someone thinks the number is fraudulent, then they can do research and present their evidence of fraud (which there is none, I might add). At the end of the year if the beat writer wants to write a piece that compares announced attendance to butts in the seats, if it truly is newsworthy, then go ahead. Yup, they're run by the Illuminati, whom all happen to be Gators and Seminoles.
