Im not expecting much more passing to be put on QF. Sometimes you have to keep it basic while they learn to be a college QB, probably even more in QFs case.

Just for comparison Grothe's first 8 starts average vs Flowers first 5.

14/23, 179 yards, 1.1 TD/ 1.0 INT, 14 Rushes, 60 yards.

11/20, 126 yards, 1.2 TD/ 0.8 INT, 11 Rushes, 48 yards.

Granted they need set passing plays for 3rd and long situations, but asking him to throw another 15-20 passes is a recipe for turnover disaster. Hopefully AW will be ready for game 1.

But waiting until we HAVE to pass to pass is a recipe for disaster.

Those numbers are misleading as most of those were true passes. The majority of QF "passes" are behind the LOS.

I do think QF might have a stronger arm and better touch on the deep ball.

He made most of the throws he was asked to make. He hasn't been given a chance to play QB often

Pretty  sure this statement is inaccurate but he was able to hit recievers at the end of the Memphis game against one of the worse pass Ds in FBS when they went into prevent and no defenders were around them.

I am more interested to see what happens when/if QF is allowed to throw more and how many of those on here will react.

QF QBR for the season is 32 (0-100, 50 is avg). That is so bad it might be the worse rating at QB we have had in a long while. He is currently in the bottom 15 worse QBs in the country. Not even MW or SB last year were ranked that poorly, 43.3 and 43.9 respectively.

Then we won't be able to recruit a good passer and then some receivers..

It seems that we can recruit the best punter..

Doesn't trust him and knows he's not a good passer. However, what he can't seem to get through his head is that he's making his team and offense one dimensional and it's crippling. Doesn't matter who is behind center at this point, unless we are running the triple option from here on out he's gotta throw the football a heck of a lot more than we've seen. Pointing to close losses as improvement won't cut it for him in Harlan's office come December.

Our offense ranks 116th out of 127 on 3rd down conversions.  Beyond pathetic.  Blame it on QF or CWT, doesn't matter, we suck.
