Flowers was atrocious. Of course he helped lose that game. We have no intermediate passing offense.

There is a reason the playcalling completely changed with a cold Bench in the game.

What?  A WR screen pass isn't an intermediate passing offense?

With the pass in the dirt or behind them?

Not mad at Flowers he isn't good but he didn't cost us the game. Receivers dropped 14 points that and bad Defense cost us game.

I am astounded that some are still on the QF train.

What's the other option?

A worse quarterback in Steven bench

You seriously cant believe that SB is a worse QB than QF.

Maybe a worse RB but QB....honestly how can you make that conclusion.

In the one series SB had he made reads and throws that QF couldnt make all game long...

He also mishandled a snap, fumbled the ball on a handoff, and threw 2 interceptions, one of which was completely his fault.

I am here, waiting for some responses.  Bring the hate!

This is kind of a dickish OP.  Gloating to fellow fans shouldn't give you some perverse joy.  And, it's not like Bench came in & gave you an "I told you so" showing.

That said, QF clearly struggled, and didn't look to have the burst & elusiveness we saw earlier this year.

Bench was better than 0-3.  His laser to Adams was sweet for a first (except Bronson committed a dumb penalty that took it off), then Bronson killed Bench again, by letting the ball skip thru his hands for an INT.  If Bronson doesn't stink it up, Bench is 2-4, and likely driving for more ops.

It does, sad I know.  But at least I am self-aware.

Alas, I do like to point out that once again QF has shown that he does not understand the role of WRs is to receive passes thrown by the QB.

I think once again we can point to the decision making at the top once again.  Let's see, the offense was miserable all day long, needed a turnover from the defense to get close enough to score.  But then QF manages (somehow) to direct a 60+ yard drive down the field to get within 11.  The offense was in rhythm and it actually looked like the offense may have found some small thing to hang it's hat on.

Naturally, any quality coach decides this is the perfect time to bring in a new QB and destroy the rhythm that was possibly being created.  Then, after Bench comes in cold and complete multiple intermediate passes in the middle of the field and has one well thrown pass intercepted because the receiver muffed it, we naturally then go back to QF.  At this point we have a thoroughly confused and dispirited offense.

Great job there by Taggart to snuff out any semblance of a rally, just like last year with the SW/SB/QF shuffle.

Receivers dropped 14 points?  I wouldn't really count that second "TD" pass as a drop.  More like a horrible pass that wouldn't have been knocked down if thrown properly.  But didn't we score on that drive anyway?

As much as it would help us, we would not be allowed to score two TDs on a single drive.

Now, I have been drinking so correct me if I'm wrong...but didn't he only have one completion over the middle that was called back, then a horrible interception that was also called back due to penalty?

I know there is quite a bit of sarcasm here, but he didn't complete multiple passes, except to the other team.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
