I think we should consider it a win if we can just cover the 29 point spread.

Moral victory?

^^^^ I don't think anyone really expects USF to be ranked in the slight chance we get a W tomorrow.  Smazza's just trolling as usual, but he's too late on this one, someone beat him to it.

Do you really want to keep bringing up that you and smazza were on the same wavelength??

I don't think we crack the top 25 if we go 4-0, same reason as MLB posted. 30-35 maybe.

5-0 MAYBE we get in, but I think we're still in the 25-30 range.

Then, if we lost 1 anywhere in the season, BOOM! They would drop us like a rock.

Now, if we win a few of those games like FAMU, we might get a little more respect, but squeakers, no chance.

No, he was on my wavelength.  I believe imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ...

I might buy that if I believed that smazza actually ever read anything here ...

The question is objectively absurd.

But the answer is a resounding NO.  FSU would fall to #20 +/- 3 spots and USF would get a enough votes for the top 30.  Unless we steam roll them like we did FAMU (we definitely wont), we wont get ranked by squeaking out a win.  Now if we're sitting at 4-0 I could see USF at 23/24/25.

That said, I'm confident we can beat the spread, but we're not going to win.

I could care less about being ranked. I'd be happy that we'd be 2-0 and only need four more wins to return to a frigging bowl game this year.

I would love to see us go 5-3 in conference.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
