  1. I'll have some of whatever you are smoking (or wearing on your head).
  2. 11 posts for a game day thread? Wow. But doing my part. DRINK !!!!
  3. Just looked at the stats. The guards (Brock, Allen, AC) were all in double figures. Not much from the front court. And 7 of 15 from 3 point territory. Need to shoot at least that well on Monday. 7 points for Rudd? against Stetson? Wasn't there so was this one of his "nights off" he takes once in a while?
  4. I'm confused. I thought this occurred behind the bench. This is in the endzone? How long did Lynch stand there and argue or whatever?
  5. Was going to ask "All 18 of them?" but now think that might be high.
  6. It's like you weren't even listening to me. Did you say something?
  7. And you're only 4 more interceptions in a half away from being the starter again. Haven't heard anything about him even thinking about transferring.
  8. Had gotten one PM from someone before you Dude08. He called and the tickets are spoken for now.
  9. Williams has serious hops. She's listed as 5'8" and on her breakaway layins looks like her hand is only 6" from the rim. She elevates on her jumper like no one I've seen in WBB (I don't watch a lot of it other than USF). One funny thing though is she tried a finger roll a couple of games back from 10' and came up 5' short. She thought she was Connie Hawkins (look him up young guys).
  10. Left after the 8 minute time out in the 2nd half. Just a glorified scrimmage. But, again, Inga couldn't make a 3. OK, she made 1. This is troublesome. One good shooting game so far this year. #10 and #3 are still my favorites.
  11. Really didn't plan on undercutting anyone but came on here to offer our tickets for free if you can come get them or a short drive to meet up. Mid court, row 3 or C or whatever it is. In Wesley Chapel. Going to see Book of Mormon. PM me if interested.
  12. It works like this. Say after a Rays game Todd Kalas asks Joe Maddon a question. A reporter from the Times with a recorder in his hand writes afterwards "When asked if Evan Longoria is an all-star, Joe Maddon said 'yes'". The writer from the Times didn't ask the question but reported it. This is what the writer told us what happened. And no, I'm not a slugger. Didn't get past Little League in baseball.
  13. Well said!!! I have been reading more Joey Johnston from the Trib. He is a USF alumn and is not bashing as much. He kind of calls it like it is which is fair. Hopefully the others get better next season as I will give them a one year break being their 1st year covering USF. Just to be fair, and since I'm curious, I'd like to see an example of where either of us have been "bashing" or "disrespecting" the program in any way. Or "created breaking news" for that matter. Once again, it's our job to report on what's going on with the athletic department at USF, whether that's things that are positive, negative or neutral. I'm not sure what more I can say. But, regardless, thanks for reading. Don't get all reporter on me with your "it's our job to report the facts" nonsense. Joey Knight is teaching you the WRONG way to cover a local team and if you continue to follow his model, you BOTH will be out of a job in the future. Nobody is asking you to be a homer...but unbiased, fair, and no cheap jab reporting would be nice. Articles insinuating there are enough USF fans are calling for Taggart's head to even write about and asking instigating questions to Shaw about the run game (what the hell were you trying to do there? Pit him against the Coach?) come to the top of my mind since they just happened. Its the way you write about the facts, not what you're reporting that is irking people. Do yourself a favor and call Greg Auman for pointers and tips, don't emulate Knight. Think he already told us that they weren't his questions. Chill out. From above: "For the record, neither of us asked the questions. It's a circle of reporters that conduct the interviews during practices and we report what each player and coach says. As seen above, I cited the questions asked and the player's response in a quote."
  14. Exactly. Better to be 4 - 1 after Monday than 3 - 2. That OSU team looked great last night. Blocked shots, steals and broken up passes all night long.
  15. If most Knight fans were like you I would actually make the trip over there for the game.
  16. I'm sure there is a lot of frustration on the part of many of these student athletes. A lot of these guys were used to winning in high school. People talk about Mike White winning a State Championship. Pretty sure Steven Bench took his team to the championship game in Ga. Probably find a bunch of others on the roster that come from winning programs. Losing bothers all of them and others are frustrated by the amount of playing time they get. All part of the maturing process. Don't fault Shaw at all and I'm sure he learned from last year and will play hard until the final whistle of the final game.
  17. SilverBull remains my handle since I can't yet afford the MorethanMumaBull tag just yet. If it comes available then, you can have it -- and I'll let you keep the grandchild. Seriously though, thanks for all your support of the University and athletics, and I don't just mean financially. We could use a lot more like you. Depending on the behavior of the grandchild, I'll let you know when/if he or she gets here. It could be negotiable. I get what you mean by the "more than financially" part. People at USF very much appreciate seeing faces at events no matter the donor level. Some know our names others just our faces. But they are always welcoming and many times we hear "thanks for being here", not "thanks for your money". When we went to the school yesterday to do some paper work we heard that the most disappointing thing about the football game Saturday was the lack of people in the stands. So we will continue to show up at as many events as possible.
  18. That's about right. 17 starters and about 30 total players from last season's squad. Non close to the same team that was there last year.
