  1. What he usually says "We aren't making enough winning plays".
  2. If you were still here in Tampa you would know that he is out and about and many, if not most, sporting events. He doesn't hole up in the building. When we were on campus Monday to re-sign some paperwork he was just getting in from Dallas and the soccer match there. Saw him at the WBB game today. He is passionate about all the programs and he isn't happy with the way things have gone. The losing puts a strain on him. So you want him to come out and give a "vote of confidence" for Taggart? That is usually saved for the coaches about to get fired. They know they have to win in football to get people back in the seats. Have had discussions with others in the Ath. Dept. who know there is no marketing strategy to get people to show up better than a winning team.
  3. Thought we'd be having a watch party at the house but I just can't do it. Will record this game and try to find something else to do while watching our grandson while our daughter and son-in-law attend the game. I hope I've learned a lesson about buying tickets to away games before the season starts. Should really wait to see if there is a chance of winning. But I have reserved a room for Wisconsin next September.
  4. But, but, but after the Houston game he was pronounced the best all time QB at USF by some on here.
  5. He's been here with some of these players for 10-11 months now. If it takes more than a year to instill discipline and your offensive scheme we are in big trouble. This isn't the pros. You lose kids and add kids every year. I can't believe it is the intelligence of the players. One thing that Skip did was bring in kids that were doing a bit better scholastically. The seniors are mostly Leavitt's guys but, again, I don't doubt their intelligence. Gotta put this on coaching.
  6. A concern to me is the question of how complicated this offensive system is. If you have a starting senior center who, according to the Willie Taggart Show yesterday morning, is just starting to fully understand the system then what happens every year when you lose senior players? I guess there will be some guys that are backups from the year before that will "know" the system. But then how do you ever expect an incoming freshmen to learn the system over 4 weeks of summer camp? And the sequence of calling plays really is old already. Run on 1st down up the middle, run on 2nd down up the middle, throw a pass short of the first down marker on 3rd down and punt on 4th down. Real creative. How freaking complicated is it to learn a run up the middle play? Something just doesn't seem right to me with this whole thing. Was told by someone that should know that the system isn't "that" complicated. Got to give Willie 3 more years but I'm starting to question his coaching.
  7. I'll have some of whatever you are smoking (or wearing on your head).
  8. 11 posts for a game day thread? Wow. But doing my part. DRINK !!!!
  9. Just looked at the stats. The guards (Brock, Allen, AC) were all in double figures. Not much from the front court. And 7 of 15 from 3 point territory. Need to shoot at least that well on Monday. 7 points for Rudd? against Stetson? Wasn't there so was this one of his "nights off" he takes once in a while?
  10. I'm confused. I thought this occurred behind the bench. This is in the endzone? How long did Lynch stand there and argue or whatever?
  11. Was going to ask "All 18 of them?" but now think that might be high.
  12. It's like you weren't even listening to me. Did you say something?
  13. And you're only 4 more interceptions in a half away from being the starter again. Haven't heard anything about him even thinking about transferring.
  14. Had gotten one PM from someone before you Dude08. He called and the tickets are spoken for now.
  15. Williams has serious hops. She's listed as 5'8" and on her breakaway layins looks like her hand is only 6" from the rim. She elevates on her jumper like no one I've seen in WBB (I don't watch a lot of it other than USF). One funny thing though is she tried a finger roll a couple of games back from 10' and came up 5' short. She thought she was Connie Hawkins (look him up young guys).
