  1. Would be excited if played in the manner of our Native American brethren.
  2. As a longtime fan and donor, I won't get too worked up about this. I'll just wait and see if it occurs before I shuffle off this mortal coil and they install my official donor's headstone.
  3. This is a really good question. I have always been amazed and frustrated watching our guys 'bump" rather than tackle the other teams' offensive players and not using their arms at all. Maybe we can hire the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. At least he had tenacity. "None shall pass (or run, hopefully)."
  4. People do realize that we have basically sucked forever, right? Or at least the last 50 years that I have been a fan. I don't know if the Lord Baby Jesus could fix us.
  5. Saturday felt like such a great day for those of us left standing in the dust.
  6. If nothing else this is a reason why this hire as DC would never happen.
  7. Not sure what brought us to this lowly state, but we may have to rely upon blind begging.
  8. Practice? Who needs practice? Anyway, they would certainly need outdoor practice fields in addition to the new IPF.
  9. Unfortunately, except for very rare occasions, I used to have a hard time convincing anyone to come with me to use by 8 midfield football tickets or my midcourt basketball tickets even when there was convenient parking, free food and beer included. Some tickets are a tough sell. Others are a tough giveaway.
  10. That would be interesting negotiating the contract: "Is Jim Leavitt going to have to choke a beeach."
  11. That would be a great coaching duo. Note Dame down by four touchdowns in the 4th quarter to Pitt: Lou: "Son, a bumble bee doesn't know it can't fly." Skp: "Right Dad. Send on the field goal unit! I've got golf in an hour."
  12. I personally don't like extending coaches or politicians who have not delivered. I guess the debate will always be what constitutes success in light of the circumstances.
  13. Not likely but we'll see. I any event, happy holidays to you and your lovely wife.
  14. In answer to the original question: Yes, at the signing of each donor check. Then I just rack it up to being in the category of death, taxes and bad USF athletic performances.
  15. I don't know. I kind of still like Rocky, even though the CJL version Rocky was so much better. But that is Judy and Doug's fault. download (3).ics
  16. For me it's like a three-month root canal. Traveled to 3 debacles. Won't miss this one.
  17. Sorry to hear it. I genuinely like Skip. And, retrospect, his run at USF, though bad, doesn't seem quite so bad given the last few years.
  18. Great job. Women are the only thing worth a **** in at the alma mater these days. Can CJF coach football??
  19. I learned long ago watching the Bulls, my roller coaster investments and marriages, never try to time the bottom.
  20. This is an interesting analogy (or metaphor or simile or whichever one this is). I often have felt as a USF donor that I am like someone trying to support a person with a really bad drug habit. I am not sure if giving my money is helping at all or really just enabling the Bulls into a ever downward death spiral.
  21. Why in the world would they have to add any seats?
  22. Switching over to watch my other alma hopefully suck just a little less.
