  1. I have been a Bulls fan for about 50 years and I think you have several potentially good new team mottos in your last couple of sentences: Next year...maybe. Not this year for sure. So, the reality is, we are going to lose most games against decent teams. What's the point? It isn't going to happen. Personally, I keep going and rooting for my Bulls because I don't know no better.
  2. Have fun and stay safe. Sorry we will miss the chance to share a gumbo with you this year.
  3. I will miss it this year but I figure there is more chance of getting Hep C on any given night on Bourbon Street than contracting COVID. Just use the traditional Nawlin's preventative and sterilize everything with lots and lots of alcohol consumption.
  4. I second all the thanks on here to our veterans. I am proud that USF has a strong Office of Veterans Success to support our service men and women. I have had the honor and privilege to work with and donate to support of that program and have met some outstanding American heroes - young and old - over the years. It gives me pride in our past and faith in our country's future.
  5. I say stretch piano wire between our cornerbacks on the line of scrimmage.
  6. My bride is a UCF grad so I brought my reminder with me when I moved out of state.
  7. Maybe they are saying we shouldn't have hire him in the first place just because UT was willing to underwrite his salary and deliver him gift-wrapped in their booster's private plane just to be rid of him.
  8. Well done. I love age-appropriate inappropriateness.
  9. Based on my perusal of the schedule(s), I don't see a potential win until we face the Duck after Labor Day. And even that may be iffy...
  10. Interestingly (or perhaps not so) I just came from a meeting with an athletics fundraiser for the local Division II college to get my commitment for donation toward a stadium overhaul planned to be started by year's end and completed in 2022, which will include luxury suites and a VIP Club lounge and seating. I'm sure some here would love the opportunity for similar back in Tampa.
  11. I used to live in Orlando and still found the trip across town to UCF for USF events to be more trouble than it was worth. Once at a baseball game the fans stole a wheel a USF cover and took it to the outfield during the game (cops fortunately shut that one down). At another game hosted by one of my partners who is a UCF grad I saw a guy sprint about 25 yards and blindside a USF fan and tackle him from behind onto the concrete. Though perhaps some of that pent up angst is dissipated now that they are beating us so soundly on the field and in program standing.
  12. Wishing all the old diehards the best. I miss the small group of friends that were euphemistically referred to as "the home crowd." After so many years of addiction, my withdrawal on USF basketball was pretty bad last year, even with all the woes. I'll have to try to catch at least one game this year.
  13. There's always players' families, staff and a few people who got lost looking for the Mons.
  14. Then no, I don't expect that announcement. But would be like an early Christmas present for many on here and, after watching Hallmark Christmas movies since about July, I know that miracles do happen. Maybe there could even be another win this season. Santa? Santa? Can you hear me?
  15. If only we can get them in 4th and long situations. Oh, wait....
  16. I can empathize with both. I was at the Houston game and thought he was the one but didn't count on the rest of our offense sucking so bad. Also made the wrong "the one" call in two prior marriages. Oh well... Oh, what I wouldn't give for a solid #2.
  17. Maybe he should call his old buddy Greg Schiano and find out how to get a repeat gig with his ex.
  18. Trying not to be shortsighted. We certainly aren't getting light rail immediately but we also aren't getting an OCS anytime soon. Just saying there are bigger goals that can be met so that no one component is a boondoggle.
  19. Yeah, but I think he should have received a lifetime ban if for nothing else but his immense ego which belied the egregious suckage of his performance.
