  1. Michael Sam is the gift that keeps giving to our lazy sports media nobody I know gives a violation if a guy is gay this "issue" is created by the media Sam came out to his mizzou teammates before his senior year and none of those young men gave a violation the media is the group that is making a big deal of this. dungy is an idiot for falling into the media's trap
  2. You can't build a pro offense around a guy that snorts blow in a crowded nightclub bathroom and is STUPID enough to get photographed rolling up the $20 bill. I'm being serious here, certain positions can hold down an NFL career as a druggie, party animal and ignoramus. . . . . . . . QB's can not. If I were Cleveland, I would not even offer him a contract and let him go back into next years draft. . . . . . any money at all is good after bad. Johnny lives on talent alone. . . . . . he is in for a rude awakening when he realizes NFL linebackers are faster than 90% of the cornerbacks he faced in college.
  3. How could a person successfully scheme with that collection of talent. . . . . especially at QB. Jimmy Johnson went 1-15 with the 89 cowboys (his first year BTW). . . . . . . guess he was a terrible schemer and surely got fired. But wait, he won the superbowl in 92 and 93. . . . . . SO HE'S A GOOD SCHEMER!!!!!! Or maybe it was the fact he traded herschel walker, got a boatload of pick and constructed a dominant roster. I'm curious, what kind of "scheme" could Chip Kelly have devised with last years team. . . . . . I think you would have called him terrible too.
  4. By all appearances, Taggart has been lot more demanding of the players than Holtz. Which, to me, is a good thing. I've loved many of the player departures this last year. In my opinion, Holtz felt like he needed to be the anti-Leavitt. He appeared to coddle the players and give them credit when it wasn't due (remember the times he'd say he loved the way we competed, or made weather-related excuses). by the way, those coddled, unaccountable players rewarded Holtz' kindness with atrocious play. Every time I see a player on social media complaining about Taggart, I laugh and know we are a lot better off than the holtz debacle, which included camp kum-bay-yah over in Vero Beach and the fight song singalongs. . . . . . . EVERYBODY GETS A TROPHY!!!!!!!!!! We are on the right track with Taggart. Love him or hate him, the players seem to respect Taggart and want his approval.
  5. All this thread needs is the obligatory 5 pages of publix subs patter and it will go over the 300 page mark. The publix blather needs to happen soon because the expansion thread is about to give way to the NCAA Big 5 Gang of 5 litigation and secession thread.
  6. Floyd's performance against mcnoose was the single worst individual performance I have seen from a USF player he played woefully in usf's lowest ever moment
  7. It may be time for the mods to set up a sub-forum dedicated to publix and its subs.
  8. I cannot wait for the driverless car I'll post on the bullspen and down a six pack on my way home from work
  9. I want to play out west. It would be awesome to see us play at USC, UCLA, UW, Oregon, etc. Alabama would kill us. And to make matters worse, the game would be on ESPN, so it'd be too much to bear for ESPN to kiss Alabam's ass for that period of time. Seruiously, I can't watch SEC games on ESPN with the volume on anymore.
  10. If there's a head-scratcher in there, it seems to be universally agreed that that is it. Based on Cincy's blatant politicking to GTFO of AAC, they should have been banished to the west and then be forced to open and finish on the road for the next ten years. I have come to hate those douchebags. They think they are all that.
  11. He refused to blow. He looks lucid in his mugshot. He's a black dude driving in a rich white neighborhood after midnight. If the arresting officer's probable cause for the stop wasn't something obvious and egregious (like wrong way in a one way), Mathies should consider spending the steep price for the best firm in town to fully investigate and take this thing to trial because (so far) this is shaping up to be one of the DUI's a person has a real chance to beat.
  12. See my post above So basically we are giving them an option. This arrangement is what BYU refers to as "friends with benefits". . . . . . . . they have no other use for the phrase.
  13. We now lie in bed with the likes Tulane and Tulsa waiting for the Big 5 to tell us what we get paid. The amount of which is what the Big 5 decides it can live without. I would have rather died a grisly death attempting independence than been euthanized by the unbalanced economics and limited access that exist in the rigged system the Big 5 set up for itself. Everybody preached we'd get slaughtered monetarily and schedule wise as an independent. WELL WE STILL STRUGGLE MONETARILY AND SCHEDULE-WISE IN THE AAC (Indiana just dropped us like a bad habit). Simply put, this is uninspiring. . . . . . . where's the glory for my alma mater's athletics program in this crappy set up. Honestly, I'm ready to go FCS at this point. . . . . . but we'd miss our chance to snatch a coveted slot in the Bahamian Diet Bowl that takes place in a third world track and field stadium.
  14. You are really going to quit on the Bulls because half the team was apparently a bunch of soft quitters. I will keep supporting them but right now I feel more embarrassed for anyone that was supporting the Stan Heath regime. After seeing how many and how fast these guys are quitting I think the decision to fire him was 100 percent justified, and I am excited to see what kind of USF BULLS that Antigua can bring in. So just curious. If you're a die harder since 1984, why did you wait until March, 2014 to become a member of TBP? He probably has a job.
  15. We were last place doormat with Egbunu. . . . . . . as far as the standings go, it can't get worse now that Egbunu and others have left. It can only get better.
  16. I moved to NC in 2002. I lived in Raleigh until 2011. Since 2011, I've lived in Charlotte. I prefer charlotte. It aspires to be big, while Raleigh aspires to be small. Raleigh's aspirations always came off to me as annoying. It was a bunch of middle class white pricks that were trying to build man's latest attempt at paradise on earth. . . . . The result was generic. charlotte is a real city. It was developed in large part by bankers who moved down from NYC. As a result it has many livable neighborhoods near the city. If that's not your thing, you can settle for lake living in the northern burbs or even being a "live free or die" type that commutes from the tax haven that is south Carolina. I live in a part of charlotte called south park. Its a nice neighborhood about four miles.south of.uptown charlotte and six miles north of the sc line. my recommendation is charlotte.
  17. Professional baseball is a 162 game marathon. You must keep an even keel as it is a DAILY grind. A 60% career win percentage sends a manager to the HOF. CFB is a 12 game sprint that includes a couple cupcakes on the schedule. A 60% win percentage eventually gets the coach fired. My favorite thing about CWT is that he has made losing uncomfortable for the players again. Skip was soft. . . . . He gave the players rope and they hung him with it. I hope he learned because he might be a good coach.
  18. Tony Barbee, Steve Roccaforte, Chuck Martin, Bruiser Flint...all failed coaches from the Calipari tree. Kellogg is the only one that's done OK. Cool Story Bro. Not if you're a USF fan, bro. Someone's still bitter that Calipari dumped his school for UK. I'd ask Coach Cal for comment but he is prepping for the final four (again). Memphis has been a disappointment since it parted ways with Calipari too.
  19. We had Sendek and the Princeton offense in Raleigh when I lived there. . . . . . . the fans ran him out of town.
  20. Since our conference is a jail from which every school wants to escape, I will root for UConn as long as it proudly represents the AAC. I'm glad Cincy is not there, since they have been classless these last 9 months.
  21. Looks like a talented guy. If he is the one, I fear Bull Daly's head will explode since Musselman has a previous DUI. . . . . . which is clearly not the USF way.
  22. Mommy, why is the kitty sleeping in the middle of the road?
  23. These are the guys that delivered us Harlan, how can he allege they're incompetent boobs when he was their lead-pipe lock three weeks ago. my point is that all consultants are unskilled scammers with nice suits and fancy letterhead
  24. This is the dumbest thread going. imagine firing a coach after winning six conference games in two years . . . . . And then hiring the assistant that was there for all the underachievement. imagine taking that idea to the board, to the boosters, to the sane fans. its more likely roccaforte gets canned than gets a promotion. . . . And he knows it. WE NEED A FRESH START!
