  1. AAC is garbage. Even the good teams are bad. The bad teams are toxic waste.
  2. In my opinion, if UCF humiliates us at home, the AD will be forced to cut Taggart free. If we get trucked by halftime and our stadium empties out except for all the UCF fans, Taggart is done.
  3. Back then, I wanted Mike Shula. I thought he got a raw deal at Alabama (UA was on PROBATION when he took over), I thought would have decent name recognition in the state and I thought he would come cheap. Then I liked Butch Davis. In my opinion Willie gets another year unless UCF puts a humiliating number on us at home and forces the AD's hand. Shula will maybe get a pro job soon, so he is likely out of the question, but Butch seems available.
  4. Make sure you wrap up before you do, and wear a helmet. And bring the Astroglide. Mike White brought the astroglide last night
  5. our sucky offense has hung our defense out to dry. . . .again how many three and outs, never mind the one plat and two play drives this craptastic offense would have thwarted cjl's best defenses
  6. If cwt doesn't have a QB next year he gets fired. this game reminds of our QB play last year. worst I'll see all weekend cincy backup os outplaying our qbs. . . . COMBINED
  7. The key is "under the table". Hard to cut back something that isn't happening on the books. The 10K will be in addition to whatever they get now from boosters. UNC is about to get a hand slap for EIGHTEEN years of systemic academic fraud and NCAA violations. . . . . The boosters that pay under the table think very little about the NCAA, as it is a toothless tiger. the b5 run the show. schools like USF that are in g5 conferences hang around waiting for the drippings. They are getting bled to death, the same way the poor guy gets busted out by trying to keep up with his rich friends. the longer you think about the new model, the more untenable it seems for USF.
  8. Agreed. For the hours these kids put into the program, 10 grand a year is nothing. everyone agrees with you thus the slippery slope begins I predict that within ten years, certain athletes will be compensated more than ten times this piddly amount compensation will destroy schools like usf. The market contraction will continue until about 20-40 schools run a semi-pro league I sometimes wonder if the sport of football is not jumping the shark right now. With all the hs lawsuits and then collegiate contraction. It looks like a smaller pool of players and fans. usf may be lucky to play in a rental stadium during this uncertain time
  9. This year I had to learn names to numbers, which was more fun than I thought. ps, #5 is awesome.
  10. Would be even nicer if this was remotely true. ECU statistically will be the best run D we will have played. They have allowed 106 yards per game which is 17th in the country. I watch their games. Teams don't run against ecu. . . . They fall for the okeydoke and get into a track meet. I'll bet you $200 we rush for more than 106. The announcer last week openly questioned why people don't run on their soft d. 93 yards. I'll pm you the address where you can send the check. If you had accepted the bet, I would have pm'd you last night for your address. . . . But you lacked the balls, the cash or both. it takes a special kind of person to pass on a bet and then run his mouth after the fact looking for the money. since you called me out on this thread and said I have a debt, I ask you to show me where you accepted. If it was a pm, paste it in this thread.
  11. Run the football if ots a big run call timeout if not go in the lockeroom
  12. Now lets get some pressure up the middle to push carden off his mark if ecu can run, I don't care. We can run better.
  13. Offensive personnel and play calling is pissing me off. the flowers experiment was stupid now were going three and out on three passes RUN THE BALL AND LET THEIR GUY RUN. . . . we can win this we are going to get into a track meet when we didn't have to

  15. One other thing to explain my bullishness. ECU is the crappiest rushing D we have played since WCU. I feel so strange being this optimistic, but I honestly feel this game sets up nice for USF. Nevermind that the game is at home and we had a bye week.
  16. This game could go low. ECU runs a quick strike passing offense. All we need is Chandler, Watson and Senat to get pressure up the middle to push carden off his mark and disrupt the timing. Push the QB left or right and you have cut the field in half. . . . . which is a blessing for our safeties. In my opinion, the DT's were a big reason we hung with MD and Wisc. I know they can do it (again). . . . especially if we mix in a few middle blitzes with Sanchez. I don't think we need a miracle to keep this game low . . . . . . pressure their QB up the middle and run the football. We have done both superbly at times this year. Is this the week our young team does both at the same time?
  17. Who else thinks WE are a bad matchup for ECU. When ECU loses this season. . . . . and they will. . . . . it will be to a team that shortens the game and has speed on defense. I would not be surprised if we are the best running team they have played and the fastest defense they have played (blasphemy I know since ECU actually played a 2nd rate SEC team). I think we can frustrate ECU's offense and physically dominate their defense. The closest thing to ECU on our schedule was MD, with their dual threat QB and legit receivers. . . . . . . . USF was a TERRIBLE matchup for them. There were stretches of that game where our baby bulls dominated. . . . . especially on defense. Are we not a better team now? We can win this.
