  1. LOL His nondescript tweets in which the reader assumes he is talking cancer instead of colonoscopy and hate on a city instead of respect, reminds what a strange bird he was. He was wildly entertaining and never boring.
  2. ummm. No thanks coach. Keep the crackerjack toy. I'll just take cash for my reward.
  3. CUSA recently redid its tv deal and saw the payout go DOWN http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/college/football/article79792507.html The crummy AAC can expect the same
  4. Obviously, USF is screwed. But I won't be surprised when the bottom 2 or 3 athletic programs in each B5 conference get the shaft too. if the pool of money gets smaller, ESPN and select programs will continue to collude to further shrink the list of "haves".
  5. Baylor is wretched it was less than 20 years ago that the BB coach (Dave bliss) was fired after basically obstructing a murder investigation I grew up in Texas. My entire life it was known as an academic school with crap athletics. Then about 10 years ago, out of nowhere, they got a great women's BB, built a football team that grooms heisman winning qb's and a built a fun, athletic men's hoops team that lives above the rim. I remember telling my brother I smelled ******** (again) The stench at Baylor is as deep as investigators want to look if the investigative journalists are bored in Waco, they might want to move on to other perennial loser "academic" schools that recently found out how to recruit 85 man rosters of football studs. . . . . Looking at you Stanford and duke
  6. Not demanding excellence i just think USF athletics has to be accountable if it is going to grovel for free money
  7. It will be tough to raise money for an athletics program in the AAC. It is simply not an interesting conference. Let's be honest, USF couldn't get 50,000 in RayJay if they gave away the tickets to AAC games. Factor in the shameful fact USF was one of three schools relegated to minor league athletics in the last decade and it is understandable people will sit on their wallets while they watch what USF does with existing resources. Why subsidize an outfit that has been so passive in the last few years? BTW, I don't need to see a new stadium to get the juices flowing. I sure as hell don't need to see an indoor practice facility. How about an established, proven MBB coach in the middle of his career who leaves a good situation at his school to bring excitement to our "like new" basketball arena? I'd donate to that guy's salary. . . . . tonight. How about suing somebody when the P5 continues to collude with the networks to consolidate all the profits from NCAA athletics? To date, the only school I recall that lawyered up and called BS was Utah (with its state's AG). Couldn't help but notice Utah got promoted to the Pac 12 lickity split after a little sabre rattling over the then-BCS. Any money to USF right now feels like a lifeline. I get the vibe THEY don't feel good about their future. It's no wonder I'm skeptical.
  8. i read that too. Can't believe the ad would get rid of richt for a guy that has never been a coach. . . . Seems like a good way for the ad to get fired.
  9. Need a stud mlb from juco that can transfer in and start right away need to plan on Mack going pro after next year too
  10. Any bowl against a G5 school will be a usf romp we're too fast for all G5 schools right now except for Houston (speed) and navy (scheme)
  11. Don't know when, but I get a feeling leavitt eventually turns up at fiu or fau as HC
  12. richt had a better win percentage than dooley and dooley won his only national championship in like his 16th or 17th year richt firing is yet another sign that this crap has become BIG BUSINESS. Richt lost the donors and that did him in
  13. The USF team that played the last 30 days would beat an all star team comprised from both rosters. If there is a god of football, he/she will sink Temple tonight.
  14. When everybody wants out, it's not a conference. . . . . . it's a prison.
  15. Better facilities and no pressure since AAC Is a crummy conference with no national title expectations
  16. He took ucf to new heights and eliminated the gap between ucf and usf. He likely made the ucf gig an attractive job
  17. This is an attendance thread i'm glad New England bull rents the party room at the local vfw every time Memphis, temple or Houston play on tv, but the conference is a sprawling geographical mess that provides crap games like smu v usf, which are a tough ticket to sell attendance stinks in in large part because the conference stinks and the games are meaningless
  18. then you need to look at a map the generican is a sprawling, geographical mess comprised of mostly lousy teams
  19. A good running game and good pass rush travel well usf's young players got their taste for blood last week. Avoid turnovers and we'll win this week.
  20. Winning will isolate the true problems, which are: relegation on and the abysmal AAC
