CCS should have a special incentive to get the team ready for this game. UCF gave his Louisville team its only defeat in 2013 and kept them out of a possible playoff bowl. I hope he will have some special plays ready to throw at UCF.
I'm glad we get an SEC opponent, but it's pretty bad when the top two teams in the AAC can't get better than a 6-6 opponent. Shows how screwed up the current system is.
Yeah, according to sbnation, we would have the better bowl than either Navy, who they projected in the Armed Forces Bowl against a 5-7 Miss St., or Temple in the St. Pete Bowl against South Alabama.
I went to USF after 2 years active duty in the Naval Reserve. Served on the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam war. The GI bill back in '72 was only $200 a month, but paid for most of my schooling!
In Pinellas, at least, the publix Cuban bread is not real Cuban bread. Real Cuban is hard to get outside of Tampa and its gotta be baked with a palm leaf.
SB Nation today has us in the Cure Bowl against Utah State. http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2015/11/29/9813564/bowl-games-projections-2015-ncaa-football-playoff-predictions
They're competing for the same airspace as WEDU, which has superior programming, imho. Both stations have to put on infomercials by medical charlatans to help pay the bills. One is enough for the Tampa Bay area.
We went up and shocked a heavily favored Pittsburgh in our first full year at 1A, back in 2001. I believe it was Pitt's first game in their new stadium. Pitt went bowling that year. We wound up at 8 - 3 (no bowl). Can we do that sort of thing again? Of course, we had Marquel Blackwell and DeAndrew Rubin then. One of my favorite games.
Made it for the football season. Can't find an Auburn game picture on line that shows any Auburn players. Perhaps they removed all of them in disgust!
