  1. Just click on the "quote" button at the top right of the post you want to quote. You can then edit it if you like. (I had to take the word "quote" out of your quote as it acted like an html command).
  2. I think most of the fans we pick up will be because of our success on the field. I gave up my Bucs season tickets - I had them for 1976, their first year. still have half the tickets, unused!
  3. Just donate your tickets and start saving up for next year's BCS bowl!
  4. I don't blame them. Scheduling Texas, Florida and USF would be devistating! ;D
  5. US Hwy 1 Yes, there is more than one gateway, but we're talking about the Tampa area.
  6. The Tamiami Trail (US Hwy 41) was the gateway to south Florida long before I-95.
  7. Bulls football ... more excitement per dollar than any other sport around.
  8. We also won some early games that we could easily have lost. The important fact is that we greatly improved between the McNeese State game and the West Virginia game.
  9. Randy Shannon. Per ESPN news.com: Miami didn't have to look far for its new head coach. A university source told the Miami Herald that defensive coordinator Randy Shannon accepted the position Thursday. An announcement is scheduled for Friday. Shannon, 40, replaces Larry Coker, who was fired last month after six seasons. Shannon becomes the sixth black head coach in Division I football.
  10. I thought they did away with the minimum.
  11. Students would not have gotten a copy, maybe a market there.
  12. Well for starters, they've been playing football for 36 years, they are in the mighty WAC, and the only ranked team they beat was Oregon State (ranked 22 in BCS). That they are unbeaten is the reason they are in the BCS game. We should be able to beat that even with the higher level of competition we face.
  13. U of San Francisco dropped football in 1951
  14. I think that's too many games for football. The top 8, or at the most 16, would be best in my opinion.
  15. UL deserves the BCS. They were the best team in the Big East this year.
  16. 966 yards and 11 TD's in 8 games this season.
  17. Yes, I think we should stay home We actually have nothing to gain with this game and a lot to lose, whereas ECU has little to lose and everything to gain.
  18. One more reason to be bullish on Bulls A Times Editorial Published November 29, 2006 The day the University of South Florida surpassed $300-million in research funding, few if any people cheered until they were hoarse. Yet millions of sports fans took notice last Saturday when the football Bulls beat the West Virginia University team - a seventh-ranked, three-touchdown favorite - in a nationally televised game. Okay, so a university's football victory should not be considered of the same magnitude as an academic achievement. We agree, but tell that to the Gators, 'Noles or Hurricanes on a fall Saturday afternoon. With its win over the Mountaineers, the USF team accomplished three things. It finished the season with an enviable 8-4 record and bowl eligibility, earned mention in the same breath as the state's three football powerhouses and put the university on the map. The curious may pay attention because of the final score and end up impressed with USF's other attributes as well. In today's competitive society, even a university with a solid academic reputation is still better off with a winning team. What USF football coach Jim Leavitt has accomplished in a short time is remarkable. This was only the 10th year of football at the school, and only the second in the Big East conference. Florida State University coaching legend Bobby Bowden wears hats older than USF football. "We're creating history here," said Leavitt, who is now being sought by established football programs that have fallen on hard times. USF has a way to go, both in football and academics. As it makes significant progress, the big victory reminds us what an asset the university is to the Tampa Bay area. Go Bulls! 19. Yes, I have some respect for ECU - they have had some very good teams in the past. The problem is we have just knocked off the no. 7 team in the nation and find out we will probably be playing a team that we played (and beat) 3 times in recent years. I know you guys are better now so I guess we should be thankful we're in a bowl game. At least all the smack talk is helping to drum up interest in the game! :
  20. I imagine the NBE will be a good stepping stone conf to the big 5 bcs.  rumor has it SMU and Coker are talking. In case you haven't noticed...
