    It was an interesting game. I wasn't sure who to pull for. It's nice that the Big East won all their bowl games, but ultimately we willl have to stand on our own merits. Hey, wouldn't a stadium like that look good on campus??

    That huge red Outback Bowl logo in the center of the field must not have dried. The players pants are turning red and you can see red tracked all around the logo.

    So far I've seen WVU do a helmet to helmet hit on a downed player, kick a player twice that was down and be warned about getting in another player's face. Did they play that dirty against us?

    Not to knock ECU, but a higher level opponent would have provided a more interesting matchup. Same for Rutgers.

    As our reputation improves, and the newer Florida 1A schools improve also, it will become harder for the out of state schools to recruit in Florida. At least I hope so!

    Much louder than ECU. Of course they had little to cheer about. Heard the band a lot also. Btw, did ECU bring their band? I thought I might have heard them a time or two, but not like the HOT!

    The announcer also said "Florida State" near the beginning of the game. I think he called us "Florida" a couple of times. He also said "Eastern Carolina", which was corrected by the other announcer.

    Both on the same side (separated, of course) is probably to make the crowd look larger as the TV cameras will probably be facing that side. My guess.

    Technically, the Sun Dome is it's own entity, [highlight]not truly affiliated with the university, yet it located on campus.[/highlight] I'm aware of that, since I used to sit on its board.  However, it didn't used to sell beer at bball games, and that was because of Athletics.  Athletics finally allowed the change to occur. Baloney! The Sundome and the property are it sits on are owned by the University of South Florida.  The Sundome physical facility is owned by USF but it is managed by Sun Dome, Inc. which also manages some other USF facilities.  Thus, they choose the caterers.
