  1. I'll talk to him this weekend and try to find out. When we last talked about it he said he wanted to go somewhere where there was a chance he could win it all. I dont blame him, and not sure if that knocks the BUCS out of the equation. (sorry bucs fans) I had to take that jab.
  2. Sheriff, Not sure if you heard yet, but all the guys who played with Javon are getting together in the Big East room Friday from 5-7. Jim is putting together something for him. I have spoken to a lot of people who plan on attending. I have heard some things about tomorrow in Ormond Beach. I have been in contact with Kawika, his wife told me it was a viewing not a funeral. I am not 100% sure of the difference I have not been to enough of these to know, and right now all details seem to be sketchy. I hope the lady was wrong with what she told you. I will keep you updated if I find anything else out.
  3. Former bull Javon Camon passed away.  Details are still sketchy but I heard he was playing arena ball go hurt and taken to the hospital and passed away
  4. The homecoming game was great. For some of you who want to meet some of the former bulls many where there. Iskra, Cobb, M. Jones, Whittaker, Blount, Selmon, Mize, M.Smith, John Miller, Rebol, Shawn Hey, Crossley, Sarosi, Herron to name a few. Plus after the game players stop by as well as some other sports coaches.
  5. It is a group of about 10 guys who went in a bought the house. None of them live there. They just party there. Then you can be a member of the Bullioneers for $500 a year. I went to the house a couple of times this year and it was awesome. Tons of former players go and Jay Mize and Marshall Smith were two of the original 10 who bought the place. The house itself is awesome Granite counter tops a huge tike hut out back with huge bar, kegs, and of course great food. For anyone who has not been there you need to go atleast once. I had a great time. By there way there were many co-eds there for the single guys. Single tickets are $20 per game and that is all you can eat and drink which is good. During the year they also do parties. I know this year they had a Halloween party which was a blast. People don't dog it until you have gone there at least once.
  6. Sheriff, Speaking of Solo, I used to love his speaches that he would give. Walking in a dark ally he is the guy you would want with you. I know we always used to talk about that. Solo had so much heart, I remember how much Coach Waters would stay on him, but he always showed up and worked so **** hard. Let me know if you ever see him or talk to him. I would like to say whats up and catch up.
  7. I think you may have misunderstood what I said about N.Allen. I was basically wondering why they did not redshirt him. They wasted a year on him for maybe 20 plays of defense. Does he have the smarts to play safety? I dont know, I dont know him personally. I also never just mentioned the FS I mentioned the safety position. Most of the guys I mentioned were SS not FS. I dont know where you are coming up with the sterotyping stuff. Many of you said Carlton did not have the smarts to play QB. Well in our system if you dont have the smarts to play QB chances are you dont have the smarts to play safety, free or strong. That is all I was getting to. I think he would see the best chance of playing at WR. REZZ can you tell me one thing about my theory that does not pan out?
  8. Bien, You have to realize that the safety position is just like the QB on offense. In our system that person has to make a lot of checks and be very knowledgable of the whole D. In case you haven't noticed most of our safeties have been more of the smarter type players as opposed to the best athlete. With exception of J.R. Reed. Look at C. Williams he is not the best athlete and runs a 4.8 but is very smart. The same could be said for J. Jones, K. Verpaele, J. Morgan, J. Mize and R.Manns all were very smart players and understood the game. However none were the great athletes I am look at Louis Gachette, he has tremendous number yet did not really see the field that much. The same could be said for N. Allen, I heard a lot talk about him but he played very little, and I wonder why they did not redshirt him. Safety is Coach Burnhams system is very difficult and I would not expect C. Hill to play there.
  9. E.T. Just made a few adjustments I thought would happen.  So would rotate, some play different positions in Nickel packages etc.  It sure would be nice to have Marve in the mix there a QB.  competition only makes players better and we are starting to see a lot more competition at a lot more positions. QB Grothe C.Hill   Voss RB Ford  Ponton  Plancher  Dorsey Samuels TE Busbee  Hill/WR  Ketchel WR’s Johnson   Hester  Sherman Jackson   C.Hill Love Hill   Alcin Edwards  Mitchell OT Dile Carnes Ide OG Griffin  Hermann   OC Capogna   McCaskill Warren OG Huners  Schmidt OT Walker  Tolley Sims DE Selvie Smiley Okolie DT T. 10. This is one I am glad I was wrong. I talked to Mike and he was pretty much set on going pro. I am glad his mom talked some sense into him. This is going to be the best decision he has ever made. I would think at least a million dollar decision. This added to Mike Ford coming, what a great day for USF football. USFan I have no problem admitting I was wrong. Good choice Mike and I look forward to watching the best pair of CB's in college football back for another year. Next year is the year. The players need to have in there mind BCS or BUST. Get the mind set now.
  11. I dont know how to say it, but Mike is gone. His mind has been made up for some time now. He will go to the combine and run a tremendous time which will help his status more then anything.
  12. Many of the calls against Mike were crap. I watched the replay, and there was contact both ways and some real ticky tack calls. Also this is college not the NFL you can make contact after 5 yards. I heard Andre Ware say something about touching after 5 yards. You can do that all you want as long as the ball is not in the air. I hope Mike stays too, but the chances of that are slim to none. Sorry.
  13. I've talked to Mike Jenkins a few times and he will not be returning. I have tried to convince him, but he will be turning pro after this game
  14. good player, but these guys especially seniors need to stay on top of things.  It is not like it used to be when I played.  We never had bowls games.  They have a lot more to lose then we did.  He will be missed and I feel for him, but one persons loss is another gain.  We have 3 soph back there so it will be nice to see how they do.
