  1. Yep, MK is a USF asset for sure. Only remedy for the losing season is to start having winning seasons again. Much easier to hype and get on board with a winner.
  2. How about moving marketing bill boards out to Sarasota/Brad area, St. Pete too. Combo hype like intro to new coach JS toss ref to Clemson ride some of their coat tail. Know these signs can be expensive but USF/Sar on US 41 good exposure make them feel more involved. Change board info as season gets closer. Educate and Incorporate more Folks. There you go.
  3. Unless he is writing in the positive, warm and fuzzy mode.. That would then make him the "Good Knight"
  4. That would plant a positive, upbeat message out there for potential recruits to chew on. The season and firing didn't paint a good public pic. Another positive with CJS is the support he is getting from the area high school coaches. All helps...
  5. I'm thinking the new HC wont be inclined to bring in players with questionable baggage
  6. Ha!! Well I guess old CCS "slowed down the offense"...he slowed it to **** near a complete stop..
  7. Good deal of focus on USF in the article. Your right not the type of national recognition you want especially, a day after a positive. Tough, tough subject. Due process is the cornerstone of our legal system. Liability can be a double edged sword. Do you kick a player off your team based upon an accusation? Legal process could drag on forever leaving the Victim, Player and University in limbo. Best transfer case is, just don't accept transfers with that type of baggage. Otherwise?? Interesting in-depth article that will promote a lot of discussion within NCAA and the Universities.
  8. And there's an accurate statement. I think CKB came into a very bad situation w/ a D minded coach who may have stifled play calling. if KB doesn't coach here I'm sure we will hear of his success somewhere else. CJS seems pretty sharp and has a lot of O experience and resources. If CKB gets hired then Scott realizes what he brings to the table. We shall see. Hope he does. CKB is a winner.
  9. no I was typing with the caps on so the visually or hearing impaired could benefit from my posted thoughts...it's a very strange world we live in when capitol letters could cause such angst or unfettered concern. alas, I thought tbp was a site for all bull's to express their thoughts and views...wrongooo!! I will try to contain myself in the future so im not so offensive to the masses. perish the thought that I might be the catalyst of negative emotional change with some members. ha! all lower case letters to promote a feeling of calm and quiet...shhhhh!! go uuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm…...
  10. IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THEIR IS AN OVERALL POSITIVE FEELING ABOUT THE HIRING OF JEFF SCOTT..REFRESHING. PERSONALLY, I THINK A YOUNG, OFFENSIVE MINDED COACH ON THE UP SWING, IS MUCH BETTER THAN A COACH WHO IS TRYING TO REGAIN WHAT THEY ONCE HAD. THE DOOR HAS CLOSED ON CHARLIE STRONG. WERE READY TO MOVE ON AND BE HOPEFUL. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO WATCH CJS BUILD A WINNER AT USF. <ARE THERE UNKNOWNS? SURE.> BUT, HE DOES POSSESS A LOT OF EXPERIENCE AT REPETITIVE WINNING AT THE P5 LEVEL. <ARE USF FAN'S GUN-SHY? YOU BETCHA.> BUT, THIS HIRE GIVES ME A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THE FUTURE OF USF FOOTBALL. SO, CCS HAS EXITED THE BUILDING AND CJS HAS ENTERED AND IS READY TO GET TO WORK. COOL NOW INSTEAD OF BITCHIN AND MOANIN...WE CAN SPEND THE OFF SEASON BEING HOPEFUL FOR THINGS TO COME
  11. Ahh, wrong again but...I was there. Now I will rest easier knowing it was a muffler shop sponsor and not a clothing retailer. I'm indebted. Actually where the attached pic was taken with Rocky. Historical....
  12. Isn't he the same one who said CJS is interested in have CKB stay as OC and QB
  13. Been a Clemson fan since the 80's. They remind me of the ACC version of LSU..however, did enjoy watching us beat them at the Belk Bowl. Welcome
  14. ****...good idea BD..imaginary hoof prints right to the imaginary OCS..gives you goose bumps deosnt it?
  15. WELCOME ABOARD COACH.. CJS will prob stay up and read through all the posts on TBP tonight..<.I think very good hire >. MAYBE...I use to drive through Clemson frequently going to mtns. Always got a kick out of the huge orange Tiger paw prints on the roadway going up the exit. Do you think he will be able to get us some massive Bull hoof prints on the exit ramp from the Interstate ???
  16. What If ??? Due to our Preeminence status...CJS didn't have a high enough grade point avg at Clemson to get him into USF ???? It's all in his "permanent file" to be dredged up and used against him...
  17. True. Todays negatively charged social atmosphere would create a media circus that would spin around a CJL back to USF news bit. Old news would be dredged up, dissected and beat to death. I'm sure the Admin wanted not part of that possibility. Nobody would want that for USF or CJL. Sadly, CJL has this baggage he must carry around. Society doesn't forgive/forget easily and it thrives on negativity. To bad....He does deserve better.
  18. Probably was destined for rejection. I'm sure there are influential people that want to hold CJL to his settlement agreement. And I'm sure their are people that just don't want him back at USF. Wish it wasn't so but.... Coach Leavitt is respected and beloved by many of the USF Alumni and Bull's Fan's. His efforts and guidance while building our football program should be "somehow" enshrined on our campus. I believe his positives far exceed any questionable negative. He worked hand in hand with LeRoy Selmon to build this USF football into a reality.
  19. Historically, many assistant coaches cut their teeth and honed their skills as head coaches before jumping ship to a P5 position. The guy sounds like he has great potential.
  20. Nice post nice timing. Tough for You to welcome people to TBP only to have them brow beatin and humiliated when they try to comment. Wonder how many said, Screw It I'm Gone
  21. First, Welcome Aboard. So how does something so logical, optimistic come out of Washington DC..? Logic should dictate that an assoc OC coming out of a championship level program might possess a vast amount of experience/talent. He is a rising talent with good connections. A football family with a direct connection to USF. Sounds pretty good.
  22. Hurlburt. Friend of mine is a Capt there. I once would call these attacks/killings tragedies crazy but now it is what it is...Evil. I'm sure this hits home for you with your service past. Once lived in south Santa Rosa Co. wasn't to far from Hurlburt. Some nights we would hear the explosions taking place over at Eglin area while they honed their skills....
