    Always liked App St football and fanbase plus, had a place( wife from there) up there so geography was a plus. Problem is, Boone isn't near any major airports which would mean a pretty good bus trip for teams up the mountain. Not sure if schools from the AAC would want to do that due to safety potential. November/December games could be a real challenge. Boone small airport otherwise: Charlotte, Greensboro, Bristol, etc closest. That was the negative I always came up with when thinking about their potential to our conference.

    Yeah, you mentioned much of the diff in your question. All that plus, watch their students/fans during games they appear to be having a great time. Sure they have their own stadium which helps centralize/focus your people. Their AD was promoting like mad. Orlando is bigger area and seems to show support for the college. After the downfall of the O'Leary days they have rapidly gotten a lot better. Are they better funded in Orlando? More deep pocket sponsors? As for the weekends bball loss..? We had no outside game to bolster our strong game underneath. Maybe the home game will go differently.

    I like that CJS is a young guy coming from a winning culture and a football family. Plus..Florida boys to boot along with the USF/Dad connection. They didn't come to USF to lose. He came here poised to build something. I give high marks to MK for using his ACC/Clemson connections to build our next phase. I'm hoping the new Prez is a football guy. We will prob see some interesting transfers/recruits come on board because of his reputation. On the surface--all looks good.

    Ever seen a bull's turd pile when it isn't feeling good? Sometimes it's a very strange shade of green..That kinda takes the pazzazz out of the uni's Hopefully the administration doesn't read any of these posts and think the fans don't like the color. Might go the way of the Merrill bull

    Gets you excited and hopeful as you watch it start in motion. CJS appears to be a good guy but all about business. I like that his Dad is part of this new group. Be interesting to watch this all unfold. He may be more transparent so the Tampa Bay area gets a look at what's happening with USF football. Could be the start of very good things again, hopefully.

    Ha!! a fine example of messaging meaning many things to diff people...I was going along with your rolling as you meant it, you were rolling with what I was dishing out. Now rolling has taken on a new meaning in your reply since you were thrust into adulthood...Ha!! No wonder nobody knows what the other guy is saying anymore in the world of words.. As Larry would say, "I don't care what you say now that's funny".. Don't worry about the adult thing. Only to be taken seriously for a period of time in life. Late life regression is fun. The nuns always told me I would never grow up thankfully, they were right on something...that other stuff like bra's were never to be messed with and the old standard you could go blind.....were just bs

    listening to things said re; King last season, I think his family may have something to do with all the Houston debacle. Prob trying to get him the best look so he can raise his NFL stock outside of the AAC ?? Never know what took place when the new coach came in. Holgorsen is a diff animal. He seemed content with not winning this past season. Never know--The rest of the story
