THIS MORNING HERE IN PENSACOLA A SHOOTER KILLED SEVERAL PEOPLE AND WOUNDED OTHERS AT NAVAL AIR STATION PENSACOLA. MAYBE WE CAN ALL TAKE A MOMENT AND REMEMBER THOSE WHO HAVE DIED OR WOUNDED. THIS COMMUNITY IS ONE WITH THE BASE AND ALL IT'S GREAT PEOPLE. THIS TRAGEDY WILL RESONATE THROUGH THE ACADEMY AND OTHER SERVICES AND THEIR FAMILIES. GOD BLESS AMERICA....

Going through all the topics and the massive amount of comments regarding this coaching hire is borderline amazing. CCS was pretty much a quick slam dunk so there wasn't as much conversation. No unknowns w/ CCS he comes in and we win...opps! This time it's very interesting to read all the different takes on the Who's and the Why's. There's no shortage of names being batted around. Of course the still beloved (by most) CJL is always in the mix. Do I really think CJL will get the hire?? Prob not. We just had a defensive guru but the college trend seems to be going to the offensive minded guys. Still, it would be nice to see CJL involved with this school again but... So let the conjecture continue...it's interesting to see how folks think on this subject while we wait...……...

There are something like 11 college coach openings currently. Around 4-5 P5 spots with possibly more coming like..Mich State, S Carolina if they decide to cut theirs loose?? Appears Memphis may be looking? Cincy? Temple? if good offers go to these guys. If all that took place it's going to be a whirlwind of programs trying to fill their openings. What a year is unfolding in college football.

brings up a point. I roamed around today reading diff sports media articles on coaching prospects for usf. It was either fox sports(?) or yahoo(?) doing a comparison. They listed the con (no chance) for Leavitt due to his having "punched" a player 10 years ago..?? And that is how the bs is perpetuated by some media writer for all to see. That stuff gets me pissed.
