  1. the unique part is...all 3 seem to possess diff attributes than the other 3 diff styles/abilities. only way I like the platoon method is..if it works
  2. I could be run out of town( oh hell I'm already out of town) for this but....I think watching Rygol that he could be a better choice over BB. Wonder with playing time how good he could be?? I'm not discounting JMc or Evans they are impressive too and different styles. It was interesting to watch the 3 last night.
  3. Holy **** PUC...that was a very nice post..I'm framing it. Your expressed sentiments are likely shared by many of the Faithful
  4. Yep thought he played well. I think my only concern ? Is he durable..and will he get progressively better? It was nice to be able to watch the 3 qb's all have different styles and abilities. I thought Rygol did a good job after he settled in. He looks solid and decisive. it was great to see T Horne finally..I'm happy they both hooked up on that td. Watched Temple play last night. I think their beatable depending which USF team shows up. I think UCF looks beatable too their D isn't great but they are a scoring machine to offset. we shall see.. but like you, lets enjoy this one. Tough to ***** and naysay after a win...
  5. smart move used all the time...OMG! that means our coaches were ...coaching ! Alright !!!!!
  6. HA!!! You old throwback...your prob humming that old song that it's stuck in your brain playing over and over....remember, they warned you..hahaha...
  7. in the article under comments there was an interesting one by a recent grad. they touched on the academics vs athletics when they were looking for a university to attend. I thought that was a good comment by someone who has just completed their studies at USF.
  8. Thing is re: giving? even though you are paid to work at USF( which you gotta love) I think you prob give everyday back to USF in some way that goes beyond your job description kinda like your appreciated input to the comments/questions on TBP... Signed, Your Uncle Bud ( disclaimer: for the serious minded...I'm kidding on the unc thing) Thanks for the response John.
  9. Not enough room for it all in NH it would cause an overflow or worse...make it lopsided
  10. John, I don't know you but I respect you stemming from the few times I was ever in touch with you. And your a good info source being at the school. Besides the heavy hitters who can toss big bucks at the university there is a very narrow group who can donate to all things USF. The new grads starting out are just trying to make it and prob take care of their student loan so they prob don't have an excess of disposable income. The older grads are prob now on fixed incomes and depending how beat-up they got in the market or life in general ?..? Their extra income is prob limited. So you have the peak earning group..30-60. These are the ones who prob donate the most ( or should) and are the most geographically mobile. We are hit up $ by the University, Alumni Ass. IPF, Bulls Club, etc and all that is before ever trying to get to a game. Personally(example) a home game in Tampa costs us around $800-$1000 not living in the area, I'm sure I'm not alone. My point is this: USF has a rather small segment of fans to derive the most $ from. USF is pumping out grads right and left but how many actually will ever donate. I have & had 2 doctors and a vet( young'uns ) all USF grads. None had any interest in supporting USF. Multiply this by how many..? This Summer TBP had a fundraising drive trying to get to $10k. Didn't get there. Think Brad got around $6,000 to give to MK for IPF but as yet I have never heard anything about it from Athletics?? ( maybe I missed it) I would think receiving $6000.00 from a USF group of fans might be ( appreciated) and.. a great marketing ploy to challenge all the USF affiliated clubs, etc. "Six grand is better than a poke in the eye with a stick.".( that's an old saying young'uns). Seems the $20mil number has been mentioned for some time now. Lastly, we have had our difficulties over the years dealing with tickets, alumni functions, campus book store, etc. After which, I have come away wondering is it just me or are others having problems too. Sometimes I wondered what a small time production it was for such a big school. If its common place it would only serve to dampen peoples enthusiasm for USF. John, this certainly not directed at you just to you ( and not a rant) but this article hit on some points that provoke thought. And, **** didn't mean to go on so much but, sometimes you think something is amiss over the years in USF athletics( especially football) Hype is not in short supply but.....continued success seems to elude us...? When you hear..send more, send more $$ maybe a lot of folks are "just mored out" As always, Go Bull's !
  11. Good point on QB's. I went into roster to read up on Rygol and realized that we have 4-5-6 + - guys listed as quarterbacks. Sure a couple are prob scout team but out of that many most on scholarship there aren't just 2 ( BB and JMc) that can carry the load?? Did they back burner these guys to a point they don't know anything about the Offense?? If their that bad why did CSS recruit them? Rygol looks solid, throws a friggen rope and can move pretty good. They say he is what "excitable" hell man maybe we need excitable right now. The whole thing just pisses you off. You watch most of the AAC teams and they are on the rise looking much improved the are competitive playing with confidence..then theirs ????
  12. I'd say he has a good shot at the FSU or Michigan job... I mean look what he did in just his first 2 seasons at USF.. Oh wait...that was Taggarts team he had the first 2 seasons..Oh **** I'm confused Adding to NEB thought on the firing...and the purple shirt interview ( or with hues of blue or red or..?) You don't suppose a deal has been cut where we are swapping coaches with the ECU HC do you..??? Hmmmm? If he is sporting a green sport shirt at his pre-game...???
  13. C'mon...what are you thinking coach?? are you even thinking?? ask your wife to dress you or...? presser--wear a **** bulls shirt...
  14. Don't tell me....Taggart could be heading to his next DREAM JOB ??? Patriots? Falcons? ????
  15. "some" great success. 9-3 doesn't look bad about now. 10-2 11-1 it was nice to experience those teams. never winning a conf champ w/ Q and the gang was a low on high point seasons..CJL ? like said in puc above, we were competing. these blow out losses are pretty ****** to digest and ****..im an optimist...! ha
  16. Don't you find it odd that under CJL and CWT we had no IPF ?? And still had some great success all the while, practicing in the rain, humidity, etc...Yep, I think an IPF would be a great addition to athletics but CCS just seems a bit too far to the side of....it will fix everything. Not sure its the lack of an IPF that is the main problem for past 2 years. Plus re: the portal it sounds like he is rebuilding again?? Yep, it is a rotation process annually but the portal injects a player mostly for one year maybe two how do the recruited players feel about seeing a P5 guy bumped up on the chart? Transfers can help a team win maybe quicker but, whats the effect in the long run?? To be seen....
  17. HA !! see I knew those Bull's Folks were professional shot guzzlers... DC I think your group did ( and does) some very organized activities..nice going only sorry we missed it but the game?? Hmm maybe not so much. Go Bulls
  18. better hope like hell they don't kick us out...it's getting to be one of those> if you don't change your ways situations as we continue this downward skid...worrisome
  19. wasn't to impressed with CCS comment on qb situation..something to the effect that if it's Rygol oh sure he could do it or some other comment that should make the kid feel really good..only thing his comment was missing was a big sigh and an eye roll.... Rygol looks to be a solid guy that has some speed and a quick release, throws on the run..?? yep he's a question mark and prob hasn't gotten a whole lot of practice reps but theres a lot of teams out there having great success with their back-up qb.. ECU be a good game to try him. They aren't a roll over this year and yes I believe if we don't play good ball they will beat us..
  20. like your line of thought and I agree that it is time to go to new plan using CKB. I think he would have success at D-1 with USF plus, we could maintain some continuity in the program instead of an all out house cleaning, new coach, new staff so here we go again...starting from square one.
  21. Here as good as anywhere for this....I was very hopeful when CCS( I was a fan)signed on even though he flamed in Texas. Of course he did well off the get go look at the team he had..thankfully Q wouldn't run his lame offense..but, CCS took the bows for 2 good seasons. Now??? Down we go... I'm for cutting our losses. CKB has experience at all levels. He's an offense guy. He has done well at D2 in a superior way and I think he takes no crap. Florida boy good roots. Maybe MK will see the possibilities. I don't think he has the personnel to run his O. I think he might be stifled by the head coach. I say give him a shot to build something at USF.
  22. I've always thought the of CCS even back to Q and the gang. Would be interesting to see CKB run the whole show see where it goes cant do much worse. I watched ECU last night I'm afraid we could get tanned there?? Hope not but their trying and playin hard...
  23. Interesting....a CJL scowl ?? Hmmm....must be associated with interpretive reading ?? Or, after the game from a not so happy fan ?? Or, somebody didn't get a jello shot ??
