That is true but Motel 6 had a tendency to turn into hooker haven, knife and gun clubs so during my interstate travels I looked for a Holiday Inn Express..never know when you might get up have a nice motel breakfast in the morning and want to go try brain surgery or rocket building or hell, coach a P5 school..!

I remember when WT was heralded as one of the top young coaches in the Country he was on a meteoric rise...hot commodity in high school and college. And as much as I was glad to see him "come home" to coach USF I don't like to see a coach do what he's done during his "rise". 2010 WKU, 2012 USF, 2017 Oregon, 2018 FSU..I believe Willies ego far exceeds his coaching ability and poss his loyalty to his recruits/players/schools. Yes Willies a nice guy. But, 4 diff colleges in 8 years??? C'mon he just isn't that good. I was ticked when he left USF but I really thought he was a jerk when he screwed Oregon over. Sure college football is sadly all about money and get it while you can.. Willie never finished a job. He won a few snagged a bowl then ran off..No championships..My Mother would've said he's Half Ass I guess the media had it right when they compared him to a meteor...its a ***** when a meteor falls out of relevance and has to crash land back down to earth. yep, he's rich alright....good for him. Be interesting to see if he rises again somewhere with his resume.. It was interesting at the beginning of the season listening to the FSU football radio show. A local heavy hitter booster intimated that the losing wasn't going to be tolerated for long..he then reiterated that feeling and discontent prior to their homecoming game..Hmmmm?? See ya Willie

we are definitely better so that gets you a little more optimistic for sure. if we lose to Temple at home?? I guess the, "were not a good team" prob still holds true. at that point you can only hope one of the last 3 doesn't get up for the game against us and we pull a win off. i'm hoping for 2 wins but praying for 3..... on another note..anybody see Miller playing in the last game? if he was I must have been off taking a leak or getting a beer...

You would think that with BJM and CCS both being D guys we would have a smash mouth, terrorizing defense. Of course personnel but that's a recruiting/portal effort by those coaches. Wonder what happened with Auggie? Thought he was supposed to now be at USF? What he lacked in physical ability/speed he made up for in savy and could read offenses. Re: current D...I hope they are just getting zeroed in at this point of the season. They certainly got to that ECU qb a lot more than ucf did I think they beat him up pretty good. The days of Selvie and JPP and gang they were qb muggers.

And " Faith " is what you gotta have brother. And hopefully, gen Z will have good sense of humors which will help them clear many of life's serious hurdles. Every prior generation has reservations as to the abilities of a future generation for obvious reasons...they have already lived life and conquered, failed or given up. The newer generations are in the beginnings of their life path. Always interesting. As I've said before on here; some of the newer folks will never experience what the past folks have unless for many, it's via a game controller. We always hope the new ones will be a success.

If this Team and Coaches pull off enough wins to make a bowl game in the second half of the season instead of the first half? After our 3 blow-out losses? I would be amazed and certainly proud of that accomplishment. Adjustments, better execution, hungry attitude, better coaching, aggression and will to win?? I hope so....in my mind that would make this a successful season especially to build on as compared to last year. Maybe? Just Maybe?

You made a connection for me since you mention Fennelly was at the Sar Her trib. I thought he was way back. I remember that some of the area coaches had no use for him nor good things to say. Interesting. I saw that neg style reading a lot of his articles the past few years. Like everyone, seeing someone lose their job makes you feel for them but, there are so many sports comment positions out there he will prob catch a break. You at SPT mid 90's I was just about out of SRQ area full time by then but,,,a great place to grow up.

Of course just messing with you the 90's seem long gone as we now live in this quick change society/ news cycle. St. Pete Times?? personally I thought they were a tabloid, rag, fish wrapper. I use to put their paper in our parrots cage but he wouldn't **** on it... They were kinda a front runner to what we see today with all the fake news out there. here's another one I could get run out of town for...Rygol (granted only minimal time) has that solid Groethe like look. hangs in there, throws the bullet, can move if needed. be nice to take this guy and somebody work with him like CSK see what he is made of. poss CCS doesn't like his hyper attitude but hey..you don't mind a little cocky if theres actions backing it up. hope they don't just shelf him???
