That would explain Harlan's tweet about this taking longer than expected. Couldn't complain about Military Bowl vs a P5 team even if it is Virginia. They only went 1-5 down the stretch so I'd like our chances.

Perfect. Even the guys not leaving for Nebraska may not be a fan of UCF without Frost and would be willing to go to USF instead.

The only way I would be find with the Gasparilla Bowl is if we were playing FSU in that game. USF vs FSU in St. Pete would be wild.

Jimbo going to A&M would really shake things up for the state of Florida. Both UF/FSU coming off bad years into new coaches. Wonder if that would allow Charlie to pull a big recruit or 2 that normally would head to one of those schools.

According to this site http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-football-tv-ratings/ a 3.5 rating would make that the 11th most watched game of the season not counting other games this week. I'm sure Alabama-Auburn passed us but having a top 15 most watched game of the season can't hurt.

Sure it sucks. This season was supposed to be the year we went undefeated, won the conference championship, and went to a NY6 bowl game. But we still finished 9-2 and are 27-6 in since the Syracuse game in 2015. Considering how bad of a state the program was in before that it's hard to feel too depressed right now. Even though next year should be a down season I could still see us winning 9 games (Elon, illinois, UMASS, UCONN, ECU, Tulane, Cincinnati, Temple, Tulsa). And Georgia Tech at home, UCF at home, and Houston at home aren't unwinnable games.

I could see their stud receiver Tre'Quan Smith entering the draft a year early. Then they have 2 seniors on the oline and 4 of their front 7 are graduating. So if were getting more physical on offense next year that should help as I see there defense being weaker. The key will be our defense improving and if there new offensive scheme can replicate their success. Frost was an offensive game planning genius, even with the same players I see them having a small dip in production.

If Strong does leave who would you want to be the new coach? I like Larry Scott but his Tennesse's offense was terrible this year. Manny Diaz has Miami's defense looking amazing and his players seem to love him. Lane Kiffin has FAU looking good but he'd be likely to leave after a successful season. 3 coaches in 3 years is tough. Butch Davis has roots in Florida but is pretty old already, 66. Jim Mcelwain wasn't too bad at UF, just not good enough for their high expectations. Jeremy Pruitt led FSU to the #1 D in the nation the year they won it all, currently Alabama's Dcoordinator. Only 43.

If we can get the funding from alumni I'm sure the administration would be for it. They already did the research for it earlier this year in terms of price and location.

Anyone know if those 2 Duke dline transfers have looked good in practice? They both were pretty solid recruits. I think being in the 2nd year with the coaching staff will really help. This year there was a learning curve.

Quinton Flowers deserves to have his jersey retired. I've only been watching the Bulls since the Andre Hall days but there has been no other player to single handily have such an effect on the program.

Possible for us to play FSU in the Military bowl? Finishing 10-2 with a win over the Seminoles in a bowl game might make this the best season ever.

Hopefully Wilcox and Dillon are more involved too. We have so many weapons, even losing flowers we should be a top 5 offense in the conference.

The atmosphere of that game was better than a lot of P5 games. I think this showed a lot of potential for this rivalry.

I hated Strong all year but after tonight I don't think it was his fault the team didn't go undefeated this year. The offense played amazing tonight and I think last years defense would have let UCF put up 60+ tonight. Sure we didn't live up to expectations but this program has come along way recently. My first game as an undergrad was Mcneese State. These last 2 years we have gone 20-4. I'll take 10-2 seasons every year, a lot of seasons that will win the division. But more importantly it will improve the fan base and the program.

Tulane only lost to Navy by 2 on the road earlier this year, the same Navy that played well against UCF yesterday. I think Tulane isn't a bad team and to be up 34-7 on the road against them shows that this team has what it takes, and now we know we have to play all 4 quarters. Navy turned the ball over 3 times and lost their starting QB in the 3rd quarter and still had a shot to win towards the end. I think the key for us to beat UCF will be having good time of possession and not turning the ball over. We need to keep our defense fresh to avoid giving up the big play, Killins terrifies me in the way Mack and Adams used to terrify other teams in that he can score from anywhere. Also getting a few interceptions from our secondary would be huge, Milton has thrown a pick against each of the best 3 teams they've played. Every game so far this year we've come in expecting to win and the team seems to lack that hunger from the past 2 years. The UCF game will be the first game of the year where people will be projecting us to lose, it could be the homer in me but I think the players will come out hungry and pissed off as underdogs. At this point i'm more worried about the players looking ahead towards UCF and slipping up in one of these last 3 games, UCONN on the road in November could be ugly. Right now the high for that day is projected to be 54 degrees.

I bet the UF transfer runs away with that running back job.
