    Well now kicks through the end zone will end up in the Renaissance Fair, spilling mead and turkey legs everywhere. I hear at half time they plan to have jousting.

    It probably didn't take much on Taggart's part to convince him to switch to Oregon. I doubt he was calling him everyday trying to talk him out of USF. As far as football is concerned, Oregon is a step up.

    Anyone with connections?? I remember going with my family. It seemed like we scored on every play. Would be awesome to be able to show my son the Bull's first game. He's 7 and all he wants to do on the computer is watch old USF football games on youtube.

    07 team beat better teams although I'll never forgive them for losing to rutgers... Beating auburn and a top 5 West Virginia in the same season trumps the several losses.

    I just meant as far as attracting the casual sports fan. Usf fans have no excuse...

    I hope so too. With a high-profile new coach, a possible Heisman candidate, explosive offense and an easy schedule, you'd think that would attract some "football" fans who normally might not follow USF football. Our lack of quality home opponents is a pretty big negative though.

    Listened to the beginning of douche-mig's show thinking he might mention anything Usf. He went down the list of conferences and their bowl results and left out Usf and AAC completely. I don't usually listen, just thought there might be a chance after a great season and a bowl win. He did mention basketball coach got fired, but that was it. Back to listening to music from 3-6.

    Despite our porous defense all season, we still manage to go 11-2. It was frustrating to watch the missed coverages and wide open receivers during the bowl game. Hopefully Strong will teach these guys how to play real defense in the off season and with most of the offensive starters returning, we have a lot to look forward to. I'm not holding anything against the defensive players. I don't think the coaches were putting them in the right positions to do their job.

    Their alternate reality is amusing to read sometimes. Although, after their bowl game, I think most of them were on suicide watch.

    In previous games, I noticed that usually Flowers would go up to the line and then step back and look at the sidelines for a play. During the bowl game, I didn't see this happening.

    Bowl website said Sheraton was aac team hotel, yet when I walked in today all south Carolina fans in lobby and rode elevator with two south Carolina football players. Did I pick the wrong hotel?

    It's a shame we didn't bring our A game against them. Poor representative of the American.

    I picked up two in section 11, row 55 from a ticket broker for $30 a ticket. Tickets have $40 marked on them. I'm assuming they sell the end sections for $50 which benefits the schools and the middle part to the general public / corporate for cheaper just to try and fill up the stadium. Didn't get my bonus this year so couldn't go through Usf for the tickets.

    I think if the recruit was coming to the school because of the coach and then the coach leaves, I don't blame the recruit for following him. New coach could make a bunch of changes or not even need recruit. Now, if the recruit wants to stay and old coach keeps harassing him to come to Oregon, I'd say that's unethical.

    I'd say around 2500. I'm broke as a joke during the holidays and picked up tickets from a broker for $30. I realize it isn't supporting the University, but in order to afford hotel and tickets for my son, had to go on the cheap. I'm guessing other fans went this route too.

    I think Hofstra is asking for it..... I didn't realize we've lost 7 to Pitt. I would have guessed the series was closer.

    I convinced myself to take the drive and I'm bringing my son with me. When or will they release a list of any planned events like a pep rally or anything like that? Last time I went to the Papa John's Bowl, we showed up in time for the game and went home after. We're going up a day ahead of the game this time. Hoping to see some bowl related events. edit: After looking more on the Bowl website, I found a list of events.

    Same here. I usually only follow USF, but Oregon will be my west coast team. I wish them nothing but success unless we have to play them.

    Great article. If you scroll down the page, anyone else think that Manziel tweet with him and Lamar Jackson in a hotel room was odd?? He's probably the last person you want to hang out with if you want to have a successful NFL career.

    I realize this is a busy time for the forum, but can you do a 3 day ban on some of these idiots multi posting the same thing over and over or the ones making up false information just to get a response from everyone? Isn't there a goof off section somewhere else?

    Wow, talk about trying to find a reason to be miserable. Geez, move on. He's been in contact with these guys and their families since he started recruiting them. Some probably for several years. Just because he switched schools doesn't mean he should cut off contact with them completely. We aren't keeping the ones who were coming here for him anyway. If they were sold on the school, campus and athletic program, we have nothing to worry about.

    If Willie can pull that off, I'll be impressed. Who knows, before Oregon offered, maybe Willie talked to Strong about being the DC here. Odds of him accepting a DC position at Oregon are better than here. It just depends on their personalities and money of course.

    The question is will Strong more stubborn than Willie was? Will he see what is working and the talent we have on offense and run with it? I would assume he would have the if it ain't broke, don't fix it mentality, but who knows. It's like a used car, you get it checked by a mechanic and he says the engine is mint, but it needs a new transmission. Do you tell him to replace the engine along with the transmission? I'm sure our AD will figure this all out in the interview process.
