The writer probably didn't watch a USF game all season and is only familiar with Charlie Strong headlines and Mack leaving early for the draft. If we continue winning, writers will begin to dig a little deeper when researching stories.

Until things change, we might end up having to do some one and done games if it will put a decent P5 team on the schedule every year. The way things are set up, P5 teams have their conference schedule and then fill in some warm-up games against cupcakes. Why add a chance of losing out of conference?

Per this quote from TBO.com, it appears that Taggart just recruited a way that high school coaches weren't used to. I don't think it was anything nefarious, he just ignored the coaches and went right to the players. Two Hillsborough County head coaches said they have never met Taggart. An interesting article I found. He's on the Falcons practice squad and would be eligible for a ring if they win. Just last month Daniels was signed to the Atlanta Falcons practice squad after J.D. McKissic was waived from the roster. With this latest move Daniels could possibly receive his second Super Bowl ring. Sounds about right. I think the area high school coaches were used to dealing with recruiting and college coaches a certain way. They probably went through the head coach first before contacting the player. With social media, Willie probably tweeted to half these guys before the head coach even knew what was going on.

Wasn't disagreeing with you. Average stars is a better way to look at it. Not really fair to do it by totals when every school has a different number of recruits. They left Stafford off the list too. Hopefully, we hear some good news at 1:30 that will make this class even better.
