  1. Purdue is +99, despite not having done much on the field. FIU is negative despite their best ever start. Inexact science to be sure, but we definitely don't do well in the "panic factor" category. 8-1 season and ranked, but you'd never know it with the negative posts (myself included sometimes). I'd think we're probably somewhat typical of any team blog though.
  2. .....apparently not, at least according to this ESPN study. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21342892/college-football-fan-happiness-index-november-2017-update
  3. No problem at all with this. Both would come relatively cheap as well.
  4. Yeah, you're probably right. We should just go ahead and sign Saban or Urban Myer just to be safe....
  5. They would be better for the SOS than UF or FSU this year
  6. I totally understand this, and there are probably many who would agree with you, but I have a feeling that he'd be lights-out when it comes to recruiting here. There are other fans who would probably take whatever attention we can get. Personally, I'd put up with the sideshow drama that is sure to come with Kiffin. He's a good enough recruiter and coach to overlook the other things he brings.
  7. They still have to play FIU, who's off to their best ever start. Whooped Marshall a couple of weeks ago. Butch has them playing very well. Both USF-UCF, and FAU-FIU will be the highest profile match up in the history of each rivalry this year.
  8. I think it's a great idea, and would be great for all Florida G5 schools. It would give us a bump in SOS as well, except maybe this year.
  9. BTW, I still like Mario Cristobal. National Recruiter of the Year as an assistant at Alabama, knows, and recruits Florida very well, and he's Willie's OC, so he knows the GCO now. Throw in TJ Weist as OC, and our current DC Jean-Marie, and we'd have the makings of a potentially great staff....and one that's entirely possible (I think).
  10. You're probably right about this. I wouldn't mind bringing Kiffin in, but there's probably about zero chance he leaves one G5 school for another one.
  11. Needless to say, it would boost attendance, and bring a whole lot more attention to the program...at least for one week a year...than we'd normally get. Love the idea, even with us having to play FAU/FIU once a year. Will it ever happen though? I doubt it.
  12. Either way, surprised it's that close. Last year's offense seemed so much better. Also surprised to see the 2016 defense had that many turnovers..
  13. I think you have the total offense yards per game backwards?
  14. It would be an embarrassment if Memphis or SMU host as well, Navy...not so much.
  15. Very much so. This loss may turn out to be not much of anything if we end up winning the conference. Another loss in the regular season would suck though, because it almost certainly puts us out of it.
  16. Of course, they can throw a short pass to a RB right in the middle of the OL. Might be one of the plays Glibert has been saving.
  17. I agree, but he has his way of doing things, and apparently is unwilling to do it differently.
  18. So...no, he won't change anything on offense. "Offensively we were able to score points. We've just got to get off the field on defense." Sounds like they won't be changing a thing.
  19. The ECU game would have been 94-70 with Taggart/Woodie here, with us winning of course
  20. I agree with you. Taggart made the most of QF's strengths. He's not a great fit in Gilbert's offense though.
  21. Does this imply that we were sleep walking through the game, because I don't think that was the case. That was as open as it gets as far as Gilbert's play-calling. Statistically speaking, that was an above average game for Flowers as far as yards, and completion percentage. I thought the defense played hard, they were just exposed a bit in the second half by a team that was better than our previous opponents. Unless the wakeup call you mentioned is for CCS & company.
  22. LoL. Definitely uneventful. No clock management questions.
  23. I wonder what this loss will do to our attendance going forward. Not much room for error with the casuals in the Bay Area it seems.
