I don't see Coach Gregory playing a style like Heath now or ever. Coach Gregory didn't recruit or is currently recruiting players that fit into HeathBall. The notion that USF can only win that way doesn't make sense. Coach Gregory isn't going to play like Shaka Smart either but they will look to score off rebounds and steals. If the talent level increases then so will the offensive capabilities and output.

I left the dome ticked off way too many times this past year. Wasn't enjoying myself so need a year off. I'm guessing there may be seats available the following year.

Seth had success (by USF bball standards!) because he could bring in talent.

 *awful defense. But at least there was a defense.

 *streetball strategy on the offense never worked against well coached teams.

 

Stan had success because he taught good defense & he slowed the game way the heck down.

*couldn't get enough talent on the offense consistently.

 

Whatever we do now, this is how it has to be:

(1) Bring in the talent. (2) Play defense. (3) Adjust the offensive plan according to our talent. Always have a 3-point threat on the floor. (4) Everybody on the team needs a lucky charm to fight the curse!

I hear ya about leaving the dome in a less than jovial mood last year ... and there may be a few seats available the following year ... but, IMO, the job that CBG & staff did in less than 2 months, finding 9 players to commit to playing for USF, was just short of miraculous. After what we USF MBB fans have been through the last 3 years, to me, it seems kind of important to show the new regime support in appreciation of that start.

I get what you are saying and we struggled with it.  Had quite a few discussions.  But we decided to reward men's golf this year and take a wait and see attitude with MBB.
