Not to thrown an opinion in, as there are plenty of lawyers in here, but if they say th S&C was not qualified, that might open the school up to litigation from this students

In this litigious society it wouldn't surprise me but they may have to go higher than the school ... While in compliance with the letter of the NCAA bylaw, Oderinde is among a handful of those coaches who, experts say, are underqualified.

But there's really nothing new there that already hasn't been hashed out..... BUT, what triggered that article was this one by CBS Sports.... and it's mind blowing where they went for the first comments on the subject and if there's a stronger synonym for ironic it needs to be used to described this gem:

“They [Oregon] got away with it because none of them [the players] died,” said Hoffman, also chair of UCF’s Education and Human Sciences Department.

I guess, though, if there's any place that would know about getting away with something involving this subject, it would them.

WOW...that's tragic irony in a nutshell.  Dr. Hoffman, how did George O'Leary get away with it?

First of all - it's not even about whether or not weights were lifted.  It's about S&C which is about more than weights.

Second- if you're going to lead with the dinosaur-era reptile that inhabits our beloved state in your SN, and relegate the Bulls to second-class citizen status, please, respectfully, STFU with any supposed defense of UCF, and maybe even of Oregon for that matter, on this Bulls board.

This topic,  ughggh, FSU, UCF, whatever, these schools did not "get away" with anything and that's just in Florida.   If people want to be mad, be mad at the protections provided by the sovereign immunity provision and the like.  Any school would have sought the same protections, including us.  When families are actually able to collect 10s of millions of dollars from a university, things will change.

Not defending UCF, maybe Oregon, I still have love for Taggart. But let's go back to the "Voluntary" part of this workout. Nobody forced these guys to kill themselves. They probably were too eager to impress and hid their pain pretty well. If a workout without using weights puts you in the hospital then they probably was out of shape to begin with. As for Bulls coming after the Gator part, Im a UF Graduate, gotta show love to my Gators first....even though Im obsessed with the Bulls lol

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
