We played the part of UCF circa '07.

2007, USF was an AQ BCS school, UCF wasn't. 2014 UCF was the best football team in the conference, USF barely beats FCS teams. What do you expect?

No, it doesn't ... mainly because not sure what the heck your point is. It's a thread about UConn coming up with trophy, and rivalry, with UCF that the Kanigits had no clue about and apparently want no part of. Your post, "Meanwhile, USF... begs UCF for attention" makes no sense if made as a definitive statement.

UCF-UConn makes a great rivalry. We were just surprised, like UCF. I can't think of a better rival for UCF, frankly.

I know FTU is the conf champ 2 years in a row, but that's also all the time they've had in the conference. You'd think the Huskies would want to give it a little time and see how it shakes out for them and the pegasus riders. Smacks of small-time reactionary thinking, no wonder they're still here in the non-P5.

Pretty much how I see it. Coachspeak to the nth degree. No shortage of gimmicks, 'cause nasal tone whining and stomping your foot while whimpering "C'mon guys! Cut it out! Be serious" probably doesn't have the desired effect.
