It really is bizarre.

 

If you look at football history USF is much more of a rival with UConn than UCF.  We've had an unbelievable number of close games against each other.

 

In just about every other sport,USF has been a much more competitive rival with UConn than UCF.

 

And, we are the southernmost school in the conference.

 

In fact months ago, I started a thread here asking who people considered their conference rival (aside from UCF) and I made the case for UConn. LOL

 

I presume the UConn FB coach just wanted to show off his victory against UCF and this was one way to do that, even without their consent to it. Strange, to say the least.
