Probably a good decision overall. Now he can get immediate playing time and transfer to a program like ours next year once he proves himself at qb.

Wonder if Trickett grooms him for WVU.  This approach worked for Cam Newton.  Kid gets to play/grow, then have his pick of any team that wants him.

not necessarily...we don't know what kind of restrictions were put on him, as to which programs he could transfer to. we do play fsu this year and he'd still have to sit if he came here. maybe he just doesn't want to sit out a year.

But if a program like USF were his ultimate goal, he would do better by coming in and learning the system.  The JUCO will develop him generally to garner interest.

I think FSU restricted him from transferring to any school on their schedule the next several years. For him to get around that would be to go to juco and then come back out with no restrictions.
