#26 Cal lost to #19 Stanford by one point. Hopefully, USF, #27, will get ranked tomorrow.

#25 won, did anyone from say 15 to 24 lose? Otherwise there just isn't room for us and we'll be left out once again.

Hope so. It would be nice to finally get matched up as a ranked team with UCONN. Not that it changes anything, but still an achievement within the program. Play a top 25 as a top 25. But we blew that opportunity last time when we lost to ECU before playing UCONN.

Tomorrow St John's plays #25 Seton Hall in the BE semi-final. I'm hoping SJU goes on to win the tourney and punches its ticket to the dance. That makes our loss to them look better and helps our RPI. Plus, it might knock SHU out of the rankings.

Also, tomorrow, in the other BE semi-final, Villanova plays DePaul. A win by by them also helps our RPI.

How sweet it would be to replace Futgers in the rankings!

Latest bracketology has USF #6 seed in Oklahoma City. SC #1 Baylor #2. Rutgers is in our bracket.

GW replaced NC in the top 16 and will therefore take the last host spot:

Tulane is last team in the tourney:

" How weak is the bubble? Tulane, despite a loss to South Florida in the American semifinals, stays in the field as the last team in. The Green Wave played well in the loss (and that does matter; committee members watch the games probably more than anyone) and their profile is still better than any teams that were right behind them. TCU and West Virginia (which have RPI's in the 70s and stumbled at the finish), Duquesne (just one quality win) and Stetson (no wins in the top 100) just don't have enough to overtake Tulane."

Yep.

This AP complete ranking shows how the teams did this past week.

My pre-American Conference projection is USF as a #6 vs Minnesota in a bracket w/ Notre Dame, Kentucky, Iowa, and Arizona St. I do not have Tulane in but they are my first team out, last team in is San Diego which still has a conference tourney to play.

Creme updated it to have us as a #6 with Duke the host as the #3 seed. That would be an intriguing 2nd round match up. Duke has ZERO speed and horrible guard play. We would be able to stretch them out and I think Courtney could have a field day against them with the potential holes in their defense. On the flip side, Duke is a BIG physical team and could give us fits on the boards.

At least, College Sports Madness has USF ranked #22. No Rutgers or Syracuse in their poll.
