Wow, we have hit rock bottom

We hit rock bottom some time ago; we've now crashed through the crust and are falling through the mantle.

Can we get a QB to play QB, instead of athletes and receivers and statues... but a real QB?

Have to relocate the school to Louisiana apparently.

If ANY QB from a P5 school express interest in transferring to USF, Taggart and co. better do everything they can to get them here.

At this point we do not have a competent QB on the team, and no reason to turn anyone away.

Yeah, but he isn't a QB at a P5 school. He is a bench warming WR who hasn't even sniffed production this year or last.

In other words, he's a Quinton Flowers, a player that likes playing QB but no team wants as a QB?

Not quite, he's a player who has been in college several years and thinks he's a QB but hasn't played it in a while and no one (other than possibly USF and several on here) wants as a QB

This is dumb.  No use wasting a scholly on this guy.  I know these are desperate times but if we took him in and took away snaps from our crop of guys that need all they can get, it would look WEAK.

Find some other sucker, Grady.

Chapter 3 of the highly rated QBs to say nevermind. Following Bridgewater and Woulard. Hope he likes Blacksburg.

http://www.gobblercountry.com/2015/1/4/7492315/4-star-quarterback-dwayne-lawson-chooses-virginia-tech

The Hokies received another huge commitment Sunday night when 4-star quarterback Dwayne Lawson announced his decision to attend Virginia Tech at the 2015 Semper Fidelis All-American game.

Lawson recently de-committed from Miami after having a change of heart, possibly influenced by the emergence of stud freshman quarterback Brad Kaaya.

The consensus 4-star prospect chose Tech over finalists Ole Miss and South Florida.

That's what I'm thinking.

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
